    Haha we did the Ws thing too, which yeah, they figure out reeeeeally fast. Then we just started saying "take them" and that lasted about two days. Then it turned into "can you" without even adding anything after it, which lasted another day or so. Now we literally make a walking motion with index and middle finger and they know what it means, but we're out of ideas without communicating in Morse Code blinks.

    Yeah my dogs are used to me yelling randomly during baseball games, they've learned to ignore it. I can scream and punch walls and throw stuff in celebration and their eyes don't even open. But if I whisper the word "walk" while on the opposite side of the house from them, they sprint into the room like maniacs.

    Why is Brock Holt on the bench yet again while Kinsler and Nunez are yet again being allowed to Larry and Curly it up at the plate and in the field?

    It just randomly occurred to me that if the Sox win the WS this season, that would make it 3 of the last 4 managers of the Red Sox to win the WS in their first season as a manager. If that happens, maybe they should start changing managers every season!

    Craig Counsell went to two WS as a player, both times with teams with little to no playoff experience who were playing against historic teams that were heavily favored to beat the crap out of them, and his teams won both times anyways, both on walkoffs, and Counsell was instrumental in both winning runs. Now he's managing a team with little to no playoff experience in a year when the AL team, whoever it turns out to be, is heavily favored to beat the crap out of the NL team.
