  1. You know what AJ looks like in his MLB photo? The Chucky doll.
  2. I dont know. Im a doctor, not a Baseball Executive.
  3. Dont hate on Bay.
  4. I have to say, with Widger, Cintron, and Ozuna in instead of AJ, Iguchi, and Podsednik in, as far as the ChiSox go this is a depleted lineup. Still dangerous though.
  5. Widger starting in place of Piersynzkisamientinkewiczinitxer?
  6. A stat Id like to point out: This season, Aaron Cook hasnt given up more than 5 ER in a start. Hes been the Wakefield of the Rockies, suffering from an early lack of run support rather than actually pitching badly. A few of his loss lines: APR 16 vs. PHI: 8IP, 6 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 3 K. Final: Phillies 1, Rockies 0. MAY 30 @ San Diego: 7 IP, 10 H, 2 ER, 0 BB, 3 K. Final: Padres 2, Rockies 0 JUN 16 @ St. Louis: 7 IP, 7 H, 2 ER, 0 BB, 2 K. Final: Cardinals 8, Rockies 1. (Bullpen surrendered six runs) Or this game he took a ND in: JUNE 21 vs. Oakland: 8 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 5 K. Final: Athletics 3, Rockies 2. (Fuentes blew the save and King allowed the gamewinning run in the top of the 11th)
  7. I cant believe no one noticed the Wright stat I posted, I personally think its amazing.
  8. I always read the stats for every MLB game played every day. I obviously noticed his first walkoff shot (how could any Sox fan ignore it?). When he hit the three run walkoff against Florida I thought it was pretty cool, but then he hit the RBI single and I really got to thinking. So I thought Id point it out.
  9. Actually, theyre the only NL team to reach double digits in Interleague wins. Also, they did something fairly easily that Boston hasnt been able to: Swept Toronto.
  10. And just like that, the pro tennis thread is over. Whats next? Water Polo?
  11. Kim has actually been decent this year. Actually, almost their entire rotation is starting to look like...well, a starting rotation. Cook and Francis are pitching like they actually want to win, Fogg is looking less and less like the guy he was in Pittsburgh, (See: Rockies-Mariners), Kim isnt phenomenal, but he's solid, and the offense is amazing this season. Maybe, maybe they wont take the West, but I firmly believe that theyll at least take the Wild Card. In any case, theres no way they dont finish above .500 this season.
  12. The point I was trying to make was that as Sox fans, we really need to notice that other guys besides Papi can come through in the clutch. Maybe not as often (yet? Who knows? He's only a rookie.), but that doesnt make him any less of a good clutch hitter. Its not like he has a history of failure.
  13. David Ortiz, 2006: Two walk off homers, one two run and one three run, and a walkoff RBI single. Ryan Zimmerman, 2006: Two walk off homers, one two run and one three run, and a walkoff RBI single. I know Papi has more of a history of this kind of thing and likely will have more by the end of the season, but isnt it kind of cool?
  14. Im going to a Mets-Rockies game sometime!
  15. Bases loaded, no out and the Dodgers GIDP. Phew.
  16. You an' me is gonna fight.
  17. I 3-0 Giants in the second. If they win today, Rockies are alone in second, 0.5 behind the Padres.
  18. I think the best part about it is that Maddon spent five minutes discussing exactly how to pitch and field Ortiz, and he turns around and hammers a fairly good first pitch.
  19. Wait, you mean it wasn't Trenton playing Cleveland tonight? :dunno:
  20. With the Padres loss today, if the Rockies beat the Giants, they move into a tie for first. And if the Goddamndodgers win, itll be a three way tie.
  21. BOOOO Stinnett! Way to kill a rally! DFA! DFA!
