  1. I think this will be the most entertaining Divisional Series.
  2. Also Fenway will burn down and Theo Epstien will contract leprosy, unwittingly infecting all of Boston before it is accidentally destroyed by a nuclear weapon.
  3. I've decided what I want is Rangers-Reds, but what I think is Rays-Giants.
  4. They should pitch Burnett in games 1, 2, and 3. He's awesome. Who agrees?
  5. Yeah, how could he throw this garbage out there and bench Youk and Pedroia and Ellsbury and Ted Williams? What an *******. Oh wait. These are pretty much the only players he has to work with.
  6. I'm going for Rangers-Reds or Rays-Reds. I wouldn't mind Rangers/Rays-Padres though, because then we'd be guaranteed a first time win.
  7. I don't mind rooting for the Rays. I like them beating the Sox on occasion and playing in the postseason much more than I liked the whole 'Red Sox and Yankees' every single damn season thing. Much more entertaining.
  8. So, we all know (obviously) that the Red Sox can't win the World Series this season. Their two best players are on the disabled list, the bullpen has been awful latelY, Josh Beckett has Apparently conducted a secret voodoo ritual to chaNnel the spirit of Byun-Hung Kim (or possibly he has just removed his heart and consumed it), and most of all, they were mathematically eliminated in, liKe, July. I know no onE on this site who is a fan of the team this sitE was created to support is rooting for the Yankees, mostly because the Yankees are the only thing worse than having teSticular cancer and Rosie O'Donnell for a wife AT THE SAME TIME, So who are you pulling for? Who would you like to see win one? The Rangers, Rays, Giants, and Padres have never won a series (The Giants, at least not since they became the SF Giants). The Twins and Reds haven't won a series in over a decade. This is Bobby Cox's last season in Atlanta. The Phillies aren't the Yankees. The Yankees suck. I personally will be pUlling for the Rangers or Rays. Rangers first, and Rays if the Rangers get knoCKed out first. I would love to see a team that hasn't won a Series yet win one. What about the rest of you? Yankees suck
  9. According to MLB.com, Showalter today became the first manager since 1900 to take over a team in August or later and win more games than the team had before he got there. That is unbelieveable. Lol the Orioles. What a giant pile of suck.
  10. Mwhahahah feel my wrath, foolish peasant! *lightning bolts and such*
  11. I predict a high-scoring game on both sides.
  12. Battle of the Birds, Round 2! Vote! Discuss!
  13. Jed Lowrie is so f***ing intense
  14. Vote! Discuss in the OffTopic Forum thread.

  16. Don't worry, you don't have to include the initial. No one would think you were referring to Manny.
  17. The Sox have the potential to end this season with less than ten fewer wins than NY or TB. Considering they had a terrible April, played an entire season without Ellsbury and Cameron, lost Pedroia for several months and Youk for almost 2, got a subpar season from JD Drew and Papelbon, and played several weeks with a rotating assortment of untrained chimps and lethargic toddlers at the catching position, I'd say that the season hasn't been entirely bad. If this had happened to, say, the Twins or the Rangers, they'd probably have been nuked from orbit by now.
  18. 100 RBI for Papi. 31 HR, .264. Ill take that. Imagine if he hadn't sucked like the first season of Next Generation in April.
  19. Thank Zeus for Kevin Millwood. Sox needed this.
