  1. It's amazing the technical terms that have been invented to excuse being incorrect. :harhar:
  2. He's not doing it because they won, he's doing it to be obnoxious.
  3. suns, if you post at all in tomorrows gamethread, I am going to ban you for being an atagonistic and irritating dick. And no, I am not joking. Shut up.
  4. Plum·met v. To plunge; to fall at high speed from a great height Next to this definition is an Guardians logo. Look it up Win.
  5. hap·less adj. Luckless; unfortunate Next to this definition is a Cubs logo. Look it up. Win.
  6. That f***ing Cubs fan ruined the mojo with those stupid threads.
  7. From your keyboard to Papi's bat.
  8. Deleting that thread may have been the absolute stupidest thing I have had to moderate on this board.
  9. The Chicago Ubs? Someone really wasn't thinking about that logo back then. From some angles it looks like a box around the Ubs instead of a C
  10. "Darwin Barney" has to be one of the more ridiculous sounding names in baseball, currently. One half of the name or the other isn't all that bad, but both together sound hilarious.
  11. Yeah, and I declare that henceforth I shall be referred to only as "Your Highness". In other words, wishful thinking.
  12. I am having a crisis of faith. The Rockies are my NL team. I don't root for them as obsessively as I do the Sox, but I do love 'em. Well, on one hand, they won today. I should be happy. On the other hand...Jason Giambi. I don't know how to feel.
  13. 1. Missing even one thing can irreversably destroy the possibility of a win. For one thing, not that any of you have noticed, but I realized far too late that the Red Sox seemed to lose almost every game when I closed the previous gamethread. So I stopped doing it and left it up to the other mods. 2. Pasta mojo has been in effect several times, I just haven't promoted it. The first year I did it I didn't mention it until Opening Day the following season, and it worked wonders. It wasn't as successful when I told everyone, so I'm keeping it to myself. I will tell you, though, that pasta mojo has been in effect four of the six games during this streak.
  14. Of course they aren't. There are multiple factors at work, including but not limited to where I am sitting on the couch, what I have for dinner, which side street I take home from work, and which side of the TalkSox browser tab the MLB.com Gameday tab is. Not to mention the hundreds of other small but critically important details. IT'S A SYMPHONY OF EXACT MEASURES
  15. Don't worry, if he cements himself in the position of one of the best pitchers in the NL, he'll get traded for a bunch of scrubs soon enough.
  16. Keep your private life off of the board. Sigh...Yankees fans.
  17. In the offseason, Albequerque worked part time at the Sizzler.
  18. Come on, this Albequerque guy has nothing. Not even a box of one dozen starving crazed weasels.
  19. Wait...Did you mean Crawford is starting to grow on you? Or did you mean to say Salty is starting to grow on you AND "Gotta love Crawford's speed scoring from first"?
  20. So they're just going to hit into a double play every inning, huh?
  21. Completely unnecessary addition to your post, jacko.
  22. I would also like to state for the record what an awesome name this man has. It just sounds like a man born to kick ass.
  23. http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20110513&content_id=19011444&vkey=news_mlb&c_id=mlb Sad day for baseball. Best wishes to his family. He was a great, great player and a good person. I really respect the way he decided to go out. He accepted there was nothing left medical science could do for him and chose to spend his final days at home with his family.
