  1. Yeah, doesn't suprise me. Hes a bandwagoning moron on ESPN. :thumbdown
  2. I never expected Matsui to leave the Yanks.
  3. Mariotti??? JAY MARIOTTI??? I didn't know he did White Sox games...LMAO no wonder White Sox fans don't think Hawk is so bad.
  4. Oh you want our personal trades? I agree with MANNYHOF24, Keep: Papelbon, Hansen, Delcarmen, Ramirez, and Pedroia. Others could be traded to fill holes in like 1B, and our pitching with veterans.
  5. Thats a good point. They do say OBVIOUS stuff. I used to do that with All Star Baseball. I don't hit mute though...my TV leaves that annoying "mute" square in the corner. I just turn the volume totally down.
  6. It'll be interesting to see who we DO trade, and what we get for them. Theo should pull the right strings.
  7. I don't unless I obsolutely have to. I was giving Moose a better excuse, and poking fun at Hawk too. But like Stocker said, some guys don't have a choice but to watch WGN. Oh well...
  8. OK, maybe to hear how much better the announcers your team has are. Is that a better excuse?
  9. True Madden's games are rather enjoyable.
  10. Matrix was our offensive focal point before STAT got here. He and Nash can get it done, just prob not at the same clip we played last year.
  11. True true, I was bored and noticed that and thought I'd say something :dunno:
  12. 2000 posts Stocker, congrats!
  13. OK Dude, this was serious. I was listening to the Dan Patrick show driving to school, and he read an email and it said something to the effect of "...and it frustrates us in the White Sox Nation..." I really don't remember what else was actually said but I DEFINATELY remember they said "White Sox Nation."
  14. You have to undrstand 1) Almost EVERYONE on this board hates Hawk. Get over it as you and your "White Sox Nation" (I head that on ESPN radio this morning LMAO ) like to say. 2) We understand ESPN and FOX's biasedness. Its just they aren't that much bias towards us as you think. I missed this years ALDS (mostly anyway) due to basketball practice, so I can't say much about this year.
  15. Riverside Sluggers, I understand that aspect but hes SUCH a fan favorite, regardless of his contract, I would be very suprised if he was moved. But if they want to go young AGAIN, I could see him being moved. But a Gonzalez trade would be a big shcoker here, even with the media coverage about it.
  16. I feel a bit of animosity here. Let me shed some light from an outside place, (and a NL town) that series people care about. They watch it, and it brings ratings. Yes its the best rivalry, get over it. Nothing comes close. Over-hyped in '04...WHAT??!? Down 3-0 to a victory, you think they will ever forget that? That makes them hate us MORE, and want to beat us more. And we don't want that happening to us, so we play hard. Blow outs happening doesn't constitue a non-rivalry. And this year is a bad reference, because in all honesty, both teams had pitching staffs that weren't what they expected. So think what you want bro, but you're wrong. This is a big series.
  17. Actually no. But you two can believe what you want to, and my favorite Harrelson call: "YOU CAN PUT IT ONE THE BOARD..........NO!" (LMAO, the homer got robbed)
  18. Not so fast, living in Arizona as I do, I know that the D'Backs are having a pile up of outfielders. Rookie Carlos Quinten (AAA) is prime to play next year and is highly regarded. Also, Conor Jackson who played first base this year is a natural outfielder. So Tracy is kinda the odd man out. With Green locked in and Gonzalez locked in (fan wise, if he gets traded, the fanbase thats left will be very angry, trust me) and Quinten and Jackson being such promising talent, Tracy seems viable to be traded. Now having said that, NO word of trading him has come up. We would PROBABLY have to give up a pretty prospect or something to get him. He's establishing himself to be a very good Major League hitter. And Jackson who played first for the Diamondbacks this year, is sorta in a weird spot too. Tony Clark, who played like David Ortiz at times, was signed to a two year extension late in the season. And with Clark the way he was last year, most of the time wil go to him. This guy is loved by the Diamondbacks Front Office, yet he sorta stumbled around and didn't do alot when he was in the big leagues. IMO the right hitting coach would help him shine and become a great Major League hitter. He was in the MLB futures game, so again we would have to package a nice deal to be able to get him. I personally wouldn't mind the Red Sox getting him, thats what I said to myself when I first saw him. And hes got a nice glove at first as well.
  19. Cano was on the grass. But this should prompt a change in the way umps call strikes. He pumped his fist which in my mind and nearly every other baseball fans mind means OUT. I saw he did that throughout the game but he didn't say anything, umps say no catch when the ball is dropped/trapped/w/e and Paul and Pyrzenski BOTH said they heard nothing. A way to eliminate this is to ring someone up with some f***ing animation. Scream and wave/pump your arms so they KNOW hes out. Its not like they didn't know but w/e... Like that ump who flips his arm straight up when strike three is called, I guarantee you hear him talking behind the plate.
  20. Manny. Plain and simple. Or we lose as Hammer said.
  21. Welcome
  22. Well didn't you just say this play had nothing to do with the outcome of the game? Whats this then? Actually Escobar GOT the last out, it was AJ Pyzerznski. You know it, I know it everyone knows it. 3-2 count and he calls a strike, and he DIDN'T call "No catch" means an OUT! Thats out number THREE! Thats the inning. And that play had ALOT to do with the outcome of the game. It was 1-1, and still up in the air.
  23. No doubt Buehrle did great, 9 innings and one run, in such a tight game is a great feat.
  24. Momentum (Escobar was rollin), better bullpen, and Buehrle was tiring. I say they had everything stacked up right for them.
  25. In the playoffs its a whole different ballgame, especially in Anaheim. With those thunder-sticks, they make it LOUD. I talked to a Yankee fan friend of mine, he said that it was Bubba Crosby's fault (the collision of course) and I didn't ask him if it was because of the noise, but he most def couldn't hear Sheffield.
