  1. That's gross, but it's not very suprising. :thumbdown
  2. LMAO. Theo is staying in Boston. And Cashman will prob not go anywhere except to Spinebender's suite at Yankee Stadium.
  3. LOL. Tex your pics are old.
  4. 1. Clemens 2. Pettitte 3. Oswalt 4. Buehrle 5. Garland Closer Lidge
  5. Hmmm, well first off...f***heads like you who rub the sweep it in on a RED SOX site make us hate you. Fans who bitch about "where's the White Sox's TV time, wheres the White Sox's props..." Dude win it all first, dude have some humility, dude quit kissing ass, dude win a series legitly, dude we could care less about the White Sox, dude isn't this annoying? Its what you do. It's not bitterness, its things that I said that are f***ing annoying, and what piss us off. Or at least me.
  6. OK DUDE. First off... If we did trade to the Guardians, we would have to get more than Sizemore and Hafner. Plain and simple. Add Cliff Lee and C.C. Sabathia and thats a better trade but still thats not happening and Manny is too valuable. I also heard about the Diamondbacks trade rumors involving Manny Luis Gonzalez and Troy Glaus (On TV tonight). Boston in a Manny trade would want to either improve or get less money, and that kind of trade is awful. Glaus is injury prone, and Gonzalez is a nice hitter but his arm is awful, and we couldn't put him at DH because we have Ortiz. In this we would need a Brandon Webb and Jose Valverde on top of Gonzalez and Glaus, but I don't like us trading Manny to anyone. OH, and that lineup is too left handed. Ortiz being protected by another lefty...??? Thats what makes Manny and Ortiz so great, their hitting ability and they are a righty-lefty combo.
  7. 'Stros fans feel the same way. Live with it. I'm pulling hard for the 'Stros also. Biggio deserves it, so does Bagwell. I feel the same way as Hammer, I have a growing hatred for the White Sox. As for the pitching matchups, The Astros big three should all go twice on full rest. Only makes sense, but I DO see 26 to 6's point about Rocket pitching a game 7, but Oswalt is pretty damn good too wouldn't you say? And why risk only having him pitch once and losing the series? As for the White Sox, I heard Contreras will start game 1. He should.
  8. You're that convinced that Beltran will be as good as he was in the post-season last year huh? I'm not, and don't like the trade. I don't see good coming out of it from an offensive standpoint.
  9. Is $2 million enough? Beltran made $17.7 million last year and someone said his salary jumps up after some time.
  10. Gee I wonder why? This trade, ANY trade involving Manny is rediculous. Save money? We've never seemed to want to do this before, why start now? No hitter replaces him, Hammer is right. Konerko is NOT coming to Boston, people stop putting his name here. He LAUGHED at the thought of coming here. Huff is nice, but you really want to rely on a D-Ray to "protect" Ortiz. Beltrans numbers were not Manny numbers, and not numbers to protect ANYONE: Manny .292 AVG 112 Runs 162 Hits 45 HR 144 RBI 80 BB .388 OBP .594 SLG OPS .982 Beltran .266 AVG 83 Runs 155 Hits 16 HR 78 RBI 56 BB .330 OBP .414 SLG OPS .744 So who wants Carlos now? Even with Fenway, how much more would his numbers jump...29 HR's, I don't think so...66 RBI's, still have road games...29 Runs scored, not with what I see. Beltrans a very good player, but hes not making much less than Manny, but producing WAY less. This trade is beyond dumb, its not even close to even.
  11. Who would we give up to get those two? That would NOT be an easy trade to do. BOTH are very highly touted here in Arizona, the Diamondbacks front office and management absolutely loves them. I wouldn't mind seeing them come to Boston but we would have to give them some special talent in return.
  12. Hes improving then huh? Dickau has bounced around and hasn't had a consistent stay with any team maybe he has found a place in Boston...:dunno: Does he start YanksHater?
  13. Look regardless of the catch, I was more concerned with the call itself. If he thought Paul did not catch the ball and he apparantely did he should have SAID something. But that call led to the Angels screwing up, no call=no screw up. But regardless, the Angels only won one game ANYWAY, so if they lost in say 7 I think it would be more controversial and people would still be red hot about this. I think that people are calming down, especially after the 4 straight performances by the White Sox pitchers. Not bitterness, chill out bro people only want the calls to be right, thats all. And have some humility, if that ump said anything and Paul got Pyrzenski out, they might still be playing the ALCS. Oh and if you think about a splitters movement...when a glove covers it the rotation would bring the ball up. Think about it, its true...and a curve which wasn't what Escobar threw would bring the ball down. Escobar has a dominant split and it only makes logical sense that it would have the insane spin to grab the sides of the glove and pull itself up.
  14. Vlad is nice but howd he do in the series against the White Sox? He was about as much of a factor as a paper bag. Ill take Manny, hes more clutch, and I am bias but SO WHAT? He should not be traded. PERIOD.
  15. Bummer bro. Do you like the Suns too or just Amare? It looks like a bad sports year for you...:dunno:
  16. Exactly, thats why I said let them wear what they want. But it goes for the bench too, the injured players wearing street clothes, so Stern wants 'em looking nice, But whatever, I still say let them wear what they want.
  17. If we were to get an Guardians pitcher I would want is Cliff Lee or C.C. Sabathia, and thats not happening, so go get someone else.
  18. It will be funny to see people like Iverson and Artest in suits on the sideline. And I agree let them wear what they want.
  19. Welcome to the site!
  20. Eckstein is a scrappy hitter and like Brenly said, "Eckstein gives you everything in every game (summarized)"
  21. Can't count your chickens before they hatch. Lidge is great, but Pujols is amazing.
  22. Fastball to Pujols and that ball goes through those windows in left, hes a great fastball hitter. They barely touched him because those hitters aren't Pujols.
  23. Yeah, and also this might wake up the Cards offense.
  24. I agree. I was saying to myself that the Astros MUST win this game tonight because if they lose, that give the Cardinals a MAJOR confidence boost. They have Mulder pitching Wednesday and they know they can beat Pettite, Oswalt, and Clemens because they did it before and now Lidge isn't un-hittable in their eyes. Also this extra day helps them because if a Game 7 comes, Carpenter would probably be available that would be on Thursday. Pujols is great. Absolutely great. That shot was simply HUGE.
  25. He acts like he knows alot about baseball. And isn't he a Yankee fan? Probably disgruntled...:dunno:
