  1. This post shows how much the world cares...LMAO
  2. Welcome man.
  3. OH wow. OK, losing solves nothing, especially with a young team that already has potential. (Granted I don't know the Celtics situation like YH does but I get the drift enough). With guys like Gerald Green and that big ass PF they have (I forgot his name, Jefferson isn't it?) they don't really need to continue to look for outstanding draft talent. They have theirselves nice players who are on the rise (Delonte too but he's, IMO, a more proven guy than the other two, but like I said I'm not on the ball with the Celts like YH). Losing, like the Cavs did to get LeBron is one thing, but they got lucky, and it paid off. But its a gamble, and it could very much so backfire (See Darko Milicic ). And so what if the Celts make the playoffs...playoff experience regardless of how your team does is nothing but helpful. (See 2002-2003 Phoenix Suns, Amare's rookie year) Winning solves EVERYTHING. And it helps players confidence, and it grooms the young guys. (See Amare's growth when we won 62 games) Losing kills guys confidence and can cause many problems down the road. EDIT: And on the LeBron thing...I don't see a guy like him in this years draft. He's one of a kind.
  4. And Atlanta beat your Spurs twice (at least once, but twice I'm not positive about), whats your point, both teams are bad.
  5. Team Record PPG Rank VS. Dallas New Jersey 26-21 94.95 21st 77 Good defense on a crappy offensive team Milwaukee 25-23 96.06 17th 95 Hit their average Houston 19-30 89.53 29th 76 Good defense on a horrible offensive team Clippers 29-18 97.72 14th 81 Real good Portland 17-30 89.02 30th 89 I won't go here Golden State 22-26 100.20 4th 93 Nice Seattle 19-30 102.12 2nd 97 Good Utah 24-25 90.04 28th 89 Hit their average Chicago 21-28 96.98 16th 94 Hit their average Memphis 26-22 90.06 27th 80 Good defense Seattle 19-30 102.12 2nd 91 BEST defensive performance IMO Lakers 25-24 98.12 13th 87 Not bad Miami 30-20 99.80 9th 76 23 point drop but its the Heat=Overrated Yeah they played good defense against mostly garbage offensive teams. Golden State, Seattle, Miami only teams capable of hitting 100 a night easily. But w/e, I hate em so I can be pessimistic...LOL
  6. Yeah and you have Loretta not playin well either. I see your logic...and it makes sense, not saying I totally agree with it but its cool. We'll just have to wait and see...
  7. Since the Mavs have been brought up recently...I decided to see how theyve won 13 straight...and looked at their schedule... And heres what I found: New Jersey 26-21 Milwaukee 25-23 Houston 19-30 Clippers 29-18 IMO best team they've played during this stretch Portland 17-30 Golden State 22-26 Seattle 19-30 Utah 24-25 Chicago 21-28 Memphis 26-22 Seattle (again) 19-30 Lakers 25-24 Miami 30-20 Totals: 302-327 .480% Winning percentage These are teams they SHOULD beat, with maybe an exception to the Clippers (Miami is overrated). Now I agree they are a good team, but not front runners for the championship.
  8. I would be floored, especially with their past history of having great regular seasons and having sub-par (to put it nicely) post-seasons. The Heat are NOT what people make them out to be, we blew them out both times without our best offensive player. Their old and slow, which makes them vulnerable to the fast and young teams like Phoenix and Dallas. So that's a nice win, in the sense of the margin and the name of the team they beat but in fact the Heat are just bullyiing the East and with not a super great team, IMO only champ that could come from the East is the Pistons.
  9. LOL. It was in 1998 at Bank One Ballpark now Chase Field (Name BLOWS btw :thumbdown ) Anyway, I think it was because it was the first year, I kept it too. So maybe it will be a nice reward down the road. But nowadays I like going there because the prices are cheap for nice seats IMO ($16 bucks for right field bleachers, I like those because of the HR ball and plus, its cheap as hell) but the team blows, which is sad because they used to be so good. I'll most likely go again when the Mets come in town and hopefully Pedro will be on the bump again (I went last year when he had a no-no through 6).
  10. Good call. I never thought about that.
  11. Another monster in right? :dunno:
  12. My only beef is I think Manny could get a few more RBI's, and you having Coco being at around .260 5 HR's, 25 RBI's and around a low .760 OPS at the All-Star break, but we agree to disagree I guess. But really good work River...I'll be waiting for the Yankees predictions.
  13. Yeah dude thats the thing...I remember buying a signed (not sure to this day if it is or not ) ball for $5 bucks (maybe that should tell me something, but granted it was their first year) and everything but not positive about the team they played, but I would be willing to bet that they got killed.
  14. Damn, I don't remember. I swear it was the Braves but I'm not sure, because I've been to so many D'Backs/Braves games...It was the Inagural year for the D'Backs and they probably got plastered.
  15. If he changes his ways...sure. If not, NO.
  16. Your a passionate Yankee fan who's trashed people and started an infamous thread (trust me, that won't go away from you anytime soon). You seem sincere now, and it's all good. Just be it...and well, debatable post...soon? I've seen quite a few already. EDIT: But if you keep up the horseshit name calling and blasting of peoples intelligence, I swear we will ALL hate you. Man I just read some of your posts from this morning...This thread is the only thing that's your somewhat saving grace
  17. After reading that ONE word, I laughed harder than I have for awhile on here.
  18. Nothings ever a lock, but I see where your coming from, that he's hasn't shown to be injury prone yet, why would he start now? Also, I agree with you about the way he plays in center. I see it as he plays with a reckless abandon, nice to have but it can be a gamble, if he gets hurt running into the wall like he did in center last year (face first, ouch!).
  19. Thought so. Didn't they recently (like a year or so ago) have like one of the top winning streaks at home? Like in the 30s or so along with Duke and Wisconsin?
  20. Isn't Pitt like unbelieveable at home? And they were undefeated for quite awhile, but thats a large spread.
  21. Nicely put. I share that sentiment with you.
  22. Them too. They are really hot right now. I checked a few days ago and they were on a 10 game winning streak. I definately see them as a very tough team, they gave us a helluva Opening Night double overtime thriller. I definately could see Us and the Mavs locking up in another epic series this playoffs too.
  23. Nothings a lock dude. There are a few teams that could beat the Spurs, although I agree that they are one of the teams to beat in the playoffs. But I was saying that the Pistons couldn't beat the East starting 5, but thats not me saying that they can't win the title. They have a really good chance to win it too. And my Suns can be a darkhorse without Amare and will be the bandwagoners favorite outside of Detroit and San Antonio if we get Amare healthy and back for the stretch run and the playoffs.
  24. If that was his intentions, it will backfire, IMO.
