  1. Please tell me where your getting this information on "Rolen is not fully healthy..." I agree 100 wins might be a hard thing to do, but when you have Albert Pujols and Edmonds (age is a factor, true but he can still swing it) and Rolen in the lineup, along with Eckstein getting on ahead of them, they should be fine in the runs department. And they still have Mulder, he's a cash pitcher and I see them winning the Central again.
  2. For a few reasons... A) I talk about basketball in the NBA thread ALL THE TIME and I'm a Suns fan B ) Because I made the thread and people actually care C) Because Amare OWNS Duncan D) Because I was excited and E) Because Tim Duncan is more boring than listening to you post
  3. OH OK, So I guess 2 100-win seasons is taking a few steps back...I see. The Cardinals were 100-62 last year, the Brewers were 81-81, 19 game difference. Granted I agree that they are young and improving, but 19 games is a large gap for even a group of experienced guys, let alone a bunch of young guys who don't understand winning. It might be closer, but no NL Central for the Brewers but they could concieveably compete for the NL Wild Card.
  4. LMAO. Yeah you did. Hey at least he didn't pick some scrub instead of Carmelo. I mean you COULD look at it like that.
  5. That's just one of the things they showed him working on, because his game NEEDS the vertical leaping ability (it was a drill to help regain the hops). It also showed him doing plyos, agility drills, and working on his jumpshot.
  6. f*** dude. Radmonovic on the Clipps, watch him light s*** up. OH, and that Darko trades a joke, who the hell would want him? I can't believe he got selected before Carmelo Anthony! I understand the logic, but now that I look at it...who the hell cares if you already had a wing, f***ing trade Carmelo for other players. LOL, but hindsight is 20/20 ain't it? :dunno:
  7. No thanks. You can have Skita back tho.
  8. Take off the "P" and you got T.O. Anyway it would be horrible TV, nobodys going to want to watch it.
  9. LMAO. Move em to Vegas.
  10. Yup, with him back at hopefully and prayerfully 100% it makes us without doubt the best show on hardwood. I'm amped!
  11. Yup they do that before every game. Sorta tradition like. 68 is the normal temperature, as per the Bud Light/Circle-K/D'Backs commercial. LMAO. But yeah, its normally comfortable in there. Plus, like I said about the scenery at US Airways Center, the scenery there is normally good too, better at Suns games but nice at Chase (BOB R.I.P. 1998-2005).
  12. I agree with you on that. No doubt.
  13. INSIDE??? They keep it cool in there, normally 68 degrees, outside wouldn't shock me at all. Scorching sun...you must be miserable in that cold...thinking about being fried to a crisp... God knew what he was doing, if we had humidity, the whole state of Arizona would be uninhabitable from April to October, and the death rate would be astronomical.
  14. TRUST me you would NOT have that feeling if you lived even one summer here, the heat blows and when its nice out at night, its nice to have the roof open.
  15. LMAO. RIIIIIIIGHT.
  16. Mets fan in Arizona. We got talking and hes a teacher down in like (I forgot the town) but somewhere in southern Arizona. But he was originally from New Jersey, and still had an accent. Hella cool guy too, some little kid wanted a ball and he went and talked to some escort lady in the isle and got one for the kid.
  17. Yeah it was pretty sad actually, the funniest thing was, the Mets guy I was sitting next to was all "Alright, lets hear the cheers for the break-up of the no-hitter..." And it was basically silent with maybe another fan cheering and he's all "AWWW Come on! This isn't a baseball stadium!" But about the stadium, I really enjoy going just because its baseball, and the seats are pretty cheap.
  18. Well its DEFINATELY not Phoenix. And I'll tell you why... When I was at the D'Backs/Mets game last year when Pedro was pitching and had his no hitter broken up in the 7th, like one person cheered, in the whole damn place and it was a Mets fan applauding his efforts.
  19. Oops...I meant it would make the news even better. I HOPE he does, because the place will be louder than it ever has in its existence. And that would MOST definately be an awesome experience...and a lost voice and splitting headache for me.
  20. Exactly. Gotta change the sig...
  21. I was watching the Suns insider tonight while eating dinner and saw that Amare was cleared to rehab at full tilt, and they showed pictures of him dunking already! He was also shown doing plyometric drills and Tom Chambers said he should be back in a few weeks. This is great news and it will be even amazinger (is that a word?) if he comes back on the night I got tickets, March 11th against the Wolves. I'm so amped!!!
  22. I don't know why you even tried. The D'Backs have guys who are ready THIS year. Conor Jackson had his crack last season (didn't play great but should be better this year) Javier Vasquez won't be a huge loss and expect (like Jsinger said) Brandon Webb to benefit from Hudson's defense. Sinker ball pitchers need great gloves behind them, otherwise they will suck. I agree that losing Glaus is a hard one but that lets Tracy get back to his natural position and frees up 1st base for Conor Jackson and Tony Clark to platoon at. Gonzalez is getting older but Carlos Quentin is a hot name around these parts and could play this year, I dunno for sure. Their pen had a s***** year last year with the only rock being Jose Valverde, who should kill people again (I watched a DBacks Cubs game last year and he K'd Lee, Ramirez, and Burnitz all in a row and made them look FOOLISH. I mentioned here a few months back that I wished we could get him, but they would have to be like braindead to even consider a trade involving him now.) They have another guy Justin Nipper who made a few starts at the end of the year last year who's supposed to be promising and may make the rotation as a 5th starter. Young guys with promise and talent who on a team like them will get their hacks and beatdowns but grow on the major league level and play decent, especially in the NL west. I don't expect wonders out of them but they should have quite a few more wins than KC will. I just don't see losing Glaus and Vasquez making the D'Backs lose 19+ more games. Just don't see it.
  23. Wouldn't you say they have some promise with the Wilsons, Bay, Zach Duke and the other lefty whose name has slipped my mind...I think they do. Maybe not playoff promise but better than last place.
