  1. Mueller is not somebody that needs to go. He's one the pieces holding this team together.
  2. This is just awful. A shakeup needs to happen. Like yesterday.
  3. The Sox haven't decided yet about Bellhorn.
  4. I hope the trade goes through. That'd be great for us.
  5. I wish it had gone through. But I'd rather have Manny AND A-Rod. What a power lineup. If Bellhorn goes on the DL he can't be traded or released.
  6. Ahhh. I see what you're saying. That's very true. Money has nothing to do with it, they're still going to get injured.
  7. agreed. the Yankees will have it tough with the Rangers. they're an amazingly good team right now, albeit not in first place.
  8. Welcome to the boards!
  9. What? You make no sense. I'm not sure what you mean by what you just said? Whatever. I'm worried about the Yanks as I always have been. They're a good team, with some of the best hitters in the game in their lineup. Their pitching sucks now, but who knows. We need pitching, too.
  10. The fact is that he was never supposed to be a starter originally. Due to injuries last year, he became one. He stepped up. He's not gonna hit .300 because he never has and he has never been expected to. He's fine on defense. Haha, don't feel bad for me. I get so much crap everywhere I go for it. I know Cora was safe. But of course the umps would call him out. They hate us. But in any case, Bellhorn wasn't taken out because of lack of performance, but because he's hurt, so besides the point. Tito is dumb, he should've pinch hit Olerud for Cora. Worry about going into extra innings later. Try and win the game.
  11. From today: A report in the Palm Beach Post cites a source that says a deal for Burnett is “imminent,” and that the pitcher could be dealt before his start on Tuesday. And according to the Post, the Red Sox are one of the top bidders for Burnett’s services. The Marlins would like to package third baseman Mike Lowell, having a disapointing season and making $7.5 million, with Burnett, and it is rumored that the Red Sox are Orioles are neck-and-neck in the race to grab the talented righthander. The report says any Sox deal would include pitcher Bronson Arroyo and others, and Boston would have to take on Lowell as well. The report mentions another proposal that would be a three-way deal with the Marlins, Padres, and Red Sox, where Arroyo and third baseman Sean Burroughs would wind up in Florida and Burnett and Lowell would come to Boston. The Providence Journal reported that the Marlins are looking for a starting pitcher, reliever, and left-handed hitting outfielder in a deal, and that the Sox might part with outfield prospect Brandon Moss and Arroyo to consummate a deal.
  12. It's not fake. Anyone would've rather had Bellhorn out there than Cora. And now Cora has to start at 2nd? Good God help us when he ducks from a fly ball.
  13. Yes. Not in the majors where we have a weak grasp on first place.
  14. First is not second. You do realize, right?
  15. 'Cause Youk knows how to play second?
  16. In that 9th inning with the bases loaded, Bellhorn would've just struck out. Or maybe gotten a flyout. Cora however grounds into the double play. Awesome.
  17. Bellhorn probably would've just struck out. Hmph. Double play ball. Oh and yeah. The umps hate us.
  18. He was fine yesterday.
  19. I find it kinda hilarious how the media puts Manny / Papi against A-Rod when Manny and Alex are best friends. There was a whole article about them today in the Globe. Manny drives him to the park when they're playing each other etc. http://www.boston.com/sports/baseball/redsox/articles/2005/07/16/sox_fans_love_to_hate_a_rod/
  20. They said that Pedroia will probably be up in September to watch how he does in the majors. But Snow also said Tito and the rest of the team told Bellhorn they have faith in him and want him out there everyday. I mean look at the way that they reacted when he hit the homerun, and he was so happy. You can't say you weren't happy for the guy. He told Snow he takes too much of all this home and he just keeps getting worse because he keeps worrying about it more and more.
  21. Ahhhhhh. This conversation is so worn out.
  22. So I doubt Olerud will give it up. Doesn't seem like a big deal.
  23. Hahaha. I love the papers.
  24. Mature. Call me names. You have no idea what you're talking about. Bill CAN play 2nd but his knees can't take it. Do you know anything?
