Me and my friend Zach (SchillingouttheKs) went down to spring training for a couple games, and I have to say everyone is a lot more relaxed and they look like their having fun at Spring Training. City of Palms Park is probly one of the nicer ST stadiums Ive been to, located ina bad part of Fort Myers though, but beautiful stadium (I especially LOVE the lemonade) My grandfather is pretty good friends with John Henry, and he got us season tickits right behind the Visitors dug-out. When I saw Adam Dunn i yelled to him "Your on my fantasy team!!! He smiled went to the plate and smacked a 2-run homer.

The orioles are not that bad, I mean there not on par with the sox and yanks overall, but give that team a decent starting 5 and it could be a 3 way race for the east... but most likely the orioles wont get a good pitching stafff because they pay for players they cant afford.

Our pitching staff has questions? Ya it does, but turn around and look at yours, Pavano had a good year last year but look at his stats the previous 2 seasons. I see pavono in the category of Esteban loiazza one good season, goes to yanks and becomes a sub par pitcher. And if A 40 something year old pitcher isnt a question? How many games did Rivera blow against the Sox last season? And how could you possibly be comfterable with Kevin Brown and Jarred Write? I mean sure the sox have some questions in our pitching staff, but the yankees staff isnt perfect either

Roberto Pertagine? Ive never heard of the guy and also there is no way in hell he is as good of a defensive 1st baseben as Mientkievitch... no way in hell! and adam stern? again another guy I havent heard of (And ive been to every spring training game, and Ive heard of none of those guys (well odviously ive heard of Payton but the other 2))

Well I dont know how many of you were around to see Williams play, but i sure wasnt, and so its kind of foolish to vote for someboddy Ive never even seen play. So Id have to say my vote goes to Jim Rice. I loved that guy so much.

Nice story man... Alot of my friends have the mindset that the Red Sox pitching is SO much worse than it was last year. Hear is my biggest reason that I love the redsox new pitching staff... The most important category for pitching is wins right? (I mean in the end it comes down to who won the most game, the winner of the divison is measured in games not K's). Well if that is the case that means we have to replace a 14 game winner (Pedro) and another 14 game winner (Lowe). Well do you think Matt Clement will win 14 games? If so, BAM pedro is replaced. Do you think Wells, along with all the extra wins from the rest of the staff will equal 14 wins? if so BAM Lowe is replaced. So in the end we lost 2 flashy guys and gained 3 work horses whos productivity is basically equal

One of my biggest concerns about the 2005 Red Soz is depth. Last year we had incredible depth with guys like Reese, Kapler, Mientkievich (or however you spell it), Roberts, And that SS we got from the Guardians or something i forgot his name. Anyway, we lost most of those guys, and while it may not seem like a bid deal, you cant deny those guys contributions to the team last year. And I know we added Jay Payton who is phenominal but i just wanted to see what you guys think about this

Ok Im a huge red sox fan but, Ive been at a good amount of Spring Training games and Wells looks like CRAP. Even the outs he gets are hit incredibly hard. I wouldnt be suprrised if Wells goes 10-14 this year (But knowing Wells he could possibly go 16-14, so any predictions are kinda big guesses). And as for Clement, he has certainly not been impresive at all!

Hey guys, my name is Max Allard... been a redsox fan my whole life....odviously..... I live in Manchester NH..... my dad owns a luxury box at fenway, so I go to quite a few games (including all the playoffs)... I try to watch every redsox game, but sometimes i get so fusterated i cant watch (im sure some of you are the same way)...
