  1. Once again I apologize for being late, it's been a bit of a busy day. I guess no one is still online, so I hope I didn't hold you guys up too long. Wandy Rodriguez, SP (5 M)
  2. Sorry about the wait. Nick Swisher, DH (6.75 M)
  3. Haha my apologies. There are still some solid outfielders available, so I suspect you'll be alright in that regard.
  4. Haha, I'm not even sure how much trading I plan on doing. I was just offering my opinion about the the situation. But Ital, let me know if you need any help keeping track of this stuff, and organizing the accompanying data.
  5. As is the case with the money, I think the difficulty of managing traded draft picks is being overstated. Simple organization and attention should be sufficient to effectively manage the situation. However, I'm not the one in charge of dealing with this (although I do offer my help), so I think we should just respect the decision of Ital and Dipre.
  6. I'm not trying to step on anyone's toes here, but why are you guys (Ital and Dipre) opposed to trading draft picks? As long as the draft picks being exchanged are equal (1 for 1, 2 for 2, etc) and the deal is clearly outlined and recorded, I don't see a downside.
  7. Haha well that's a matter of opinion, but thanks lol. Despite the current state of my rotation, you can never have enough pitching, and I'm always willing to explore the acquisition of a front-line starter.
  8. Can you give us an idea, statistically, of how good you want that position player to be?
  9. Dammit, the Brett Gardner pick is a very good one.
  10. Andrus wasn't very good last year, but if he can return to his 2009 form, I think it's a very nice selection.
  11. So, Lee and Wainwright, but not Sabathia?
  12. Dunn is a nice pick. He didn't fit on my team because of his salary and his defense, but he'll be a very nice middle of the order bat for JBay.
  13. How are you defining elite?
  14. Alright sounds good. Just adding my two cents. JBay signing on would be pretty sweet. With Flynn and me online, we could swing this back around pretty quickly.
  15. On the first point, if everything is outlined clearly, I really think you're overstating the difficulty of tracking the money. Furthermore, the people who aren't prepared to deal with something like this wouldn't participate in these types of transactions. On the second point, while it's true that people would be going over the cap, in theory, they would be compensating for that by yielding talent to their trading partner. I think it would be a good idea, but I'm obviously OK with whatever you guys decide.
  16. Thanks. He has been consistent the past two years, and based on the reasons you gave, I'm hopeful his numbers improve in 2011.
  17. I like this idea a lot. Adds an entirely new dimension to this thing.
  18. Well, I lost the two pitchers I wanted this round. I really like the Scherzer pick, and while there are concerns about Anderson's arm, he has such high upside. So I'm forced to go with choice number three. Gavin Floyd, SP (2.75 M)
