  1. Congratulations guys! This has been a very exciting season for both the Red Sox and the Yankees, and I'm looking forward to more of the same come October.
  2. It might have been brought up for some reason. I wasn't watching so I wouldn't know. I was just defending the validity of his argument.
  3. I'm not saying that I would rather have Delmon Young, but I wouldn't be shocked if Kay's statement was correct. Traditionally scouts put a great deal of stock in physical tools and, in my opinion, Young's physical tools are better than Pedroias. Again, I'm not which one is better, I'm just saying that Kay's statement is not exactly outlandish.
  4. lol, yeah, it was a little ridiculous, but I don't know why the writer seems so surprised that they're conceding the division considering Torre said they were.
  5. It's been quite a season. Here's to more success!
  6. This game seems to be in hand, but Carlos Pena is a heck of a player. That was a ridiculous home run.
  7. Ugh, this is the Wang I hate.
  8. lol. Rain delay in Detroit.
  9. No Jeter fist pump picture after the HR? I'm disapointed.
  10. Yup. I heard that this morning.
  11. Lol, the good news is that Johan is throwing the ball pretty well. As for what Jacko said, if he was being serious, I would at least like to hear him try and justify that comment.
  12. Wow, Johan has now walked three guys in one inning, including one with the bases loaded. I know his best pitch is a changeup, but on 3-2 with the bases loaded? Why do teams always bend over in games where they could help the Yankees?!?!?!?!
  13. He's had two starts, one of which he lost (I know there were errors). In the other he didn't get through seven innings and gave up three runs. I guess we have different definitions of "spectacular". Wang is not nearly as good on the road as he is at home. This doesn't seem too complicated to me. On top of that, what makes you think Clemens is going to be ready to start game two? I expect Mussina in game two and Clemens in game four. EDIT: I still can't believe you called his postseason career "spectacular".
  14. Ugh, now the Twins are starting to kick the ball around.
  15. Absolutely, I've maintained that I want Pettitte in game one. The only issue with that is Wang is not supposed to pitch again this year. The rotation is aligned more for Wang in game one and Pettitte in game three (Pettitte pitches this weekend). This is a big mistake in my opinion, and something that the Yankees could have prepared for weeks ago. Once they make the playoffs I figured that I (or another Yankee fan), would create a thread to discuss the pitching rotation/roster plans for the playoffs.
  16. One of the main things that was completely ignored in the thread I made a few months back by the other Yankee fans here.
  17. 1-0 D-Rays and Wang is having trouble keeping the ball on the ground. The good news is that the Twins have scored four in the first. I understand that for all intents and purposes the Yankees are in the playoffs, but the sooner they clinch, the sooner they can start resting players and preparing for the playoffs.
  18. The Mariners were officially eliminated from playoff contention when they lost to the Cleveland Guardians 4-3 in extra innings. The magic number remains at one game to clinch. For reasons I stated in the Yankee's GT I'm confident that this ends tonight.
  19. I don't think the question is whether he is going to be with the MLB team or not. It's whether he's going to be a starter or a reliever.
