  1. Incredible. Royals have three leads in the 8th inning over the weekend and can't win any of them. Jenks almost blows it last night and doesn't even get an out before blowing it tonight.
  2. Getting some good swings early, but nothing to show for it.
  3. The same early September when the Sox were red hot? Obviously A-Rod isn't trying to be exact when he says the Red Sox would have a ten game lead. However, like Kilo is saying, if they had him they would certainly be better than they are now. But, like you're saying, it's a moot point.
  4. How do you know that it won't be the Red Sox they're trying to catch? I think you're Yankee hatred is getting in the way of your Red Sox fandom. However, your comment makes me curious how many other people on the board feel the same way. Personally, if given the choice, I would rather the Rays lose than the Red Sox, in order to give the Yankees the best chance to make the playoffs.
  5. Kind of funny that this is the one thread where the Red Sox fans and Yankee fans will the exact same rooting interest. Nice to see the Rays finally fail to comeback late in the game tonight. 4.5 game lead in the WC for both the Red Sox and Yankees.
  6. Absolutely unreal. First and third, no one out, heart of the order up, and they don't score. Hopefully the White Sox can do what the Royals could not. EDIT: Thornton squeaks out of it.
  7. Another big chance for CHW.
  8. Nice idea for the thread. I think this will be well used. Opportunity wasted.
  9. Coke does not look to have particularly good command thus far.
  10. Not really. He has not been very good this year. And how do his career numbers against the O's from the first time he was a Yankee matter at all. Besides the fact that it's a very different Andy Pettitte, it's a very different O's club. I'm not saying they're better, but they're different.
  11. Very different Andy Pettitte.
  12. Looked like a good call.
  13. What a horrible 0-2 pitch to Roberts. And they won't intentionally walk Markakis, because Jones is on deck. Really tough spot here for Coke.
  14. Still nice to see him do it considering he has struggled, especially recently.
  15. Apparently no Hughes and Rivera tonight, per Michael Kay. They just can't do anything with the bats tonight.
  16. I heard it somewhere too. Not quite sure where though, but I'm almost positive Dutchy is correct.
  17. Jeter has seemed to do a much better job going to his left this year, than in past years.
  18. Lou Marson, MiLB C
  19. Hernandez got a very similar call last inning on the strikeout of Damon.
