  1. And just when it looked like they were on their way to a big inning...
  2. Could be Mitre's last start tonight.
  3. Yankees get a break and miss Halladay this week.
  4. As Kilo would say, "Things are never as good as they seem when you're winning, and never as bad as they seem when you're losing."
  5. I don't think he is saying that Sabathia's numbers right now are good enough to win the Cy Young. If Sabathia was to have a great final two months it's possible that he could win it. However, all things considered, I highly doubt it.
  6. Possibly, I mean, that is not something that I have experienced. I know plenty of Red Sox fans, but I don't live in the heart of the fan base. I'm not sure I would feel any differently even if I did, but I guess I can't say for certain.
  7. I said "not all". Anyway, why? I root against them most of the time, but that is just to benefit the Yankees. I feel the same way about the Red Sox as I do about the Rays.
  8. Lol, all I did was challenge you to back up a claim you made.
  9. Because there probably wouldn't be any to revisit.
  10. Appreciate that Dipre.
  11. Would love to be reminded of those... EDIT: Not that I expect preferential treatment.
  12. When I said anything can happen, I meant a scoreless game through 14 innings, not the end result.
  13. Aceves, Bruney, and Coke are unavailable today. The Yankees really need a solid seven innings from Sabathia, and then they can go right to Hughes and Bruney. The funny thing about yesterday's game is that (due to some strange managing from Girardi) Hughes only pitched 1/3 of an inning in a 15 inning game. So he is in good shape to pitch today. Obviously Sabathia vs. Bucholz favors the Yankees, but last night proved that anything can happen in these games. If the Yankees want to win this series, they really need this game, because tomorrow is going to be much tougher.
  14. I'm saying split, based on nothing else but the lopsided pitching match-ups.
  15. Scott Elbert, MiLB SP
  16. Carlos Carrasco, MiLB SP
  17. Ah, I apologize. Didn't read any of the thread.
  18. Playoff berth...
  19. Incredible baseball game. Strangely reminds me of the Yankees-Red Sox game from the middle of 2004 that John Flaherty won. Wouldn't bother me at all if the Red Sox won.
  20. Only the second one. Mo is going through a rough patch (three straight outings) where he has not looked good at all. Hopefully this just doesn't end up costing them any games.
  21. Believe me, I'm not one of those people that believe the Yankees can't beat the Angels. Also, I don't think they're as good as they seem right now. Regardless, I just don't see them taking a series out there, and when I mapped out the Yankees' remaining games, I had them losing that series (1-2) and losing the home game. However, I tend to be a bit pessimistic, and I was trying to be conservative.
  22. It's a little too late for me to really analyze this and post my comments. Couple things though. I know they're not in the ALE, but if you're up to it you should probably do one for Texas as well. Also, do you really think the Yankees go 3-1 against LAA the rest of the year, including winning the series when they go back out there?
