  1. Agreed. How about the first point of the final game in the match. That was something. It's nice to see him be able to knock off both Murray and Djokovic in the same tournament.
  2. If they were to meet in the ALCS, with the Yankees having home field advantage, they would likely set it up (if possible) with Burnett pitching games two and six. I wouldn't feel too bad about that.
  3. lol, I appreciate the compliment. I'll try to hang around. I understand what example was saying last night, though.
  4. Ducking out of this thread from the beginning this time. Hope you guys enjoy the game.
  5. Burnett was a little bit lucky in his last start against the Red Sox. He walked six, and twice he put two on with nobody out and the heart of the order coming up. However, he only gave up one hit, and it was really soft. He's been terrible at Fenway so far this year.
  6. I agree with SCM33. If the Yankees win the division, I see either the Red Sox or the Rays winning the wild card. I just don't think the Rangers have the pitching to make the playoffs.
  7. Two run double for Randy Wolf tonight. For a pitcher, he can really hit.
  8. I don't think V-Mart was getting crossed up. I think all the wild pitches were on fastballs in the dirt. It's so much more difficult to block a fastball in the dirt than it is to block an off speed pitch.
  9. I stand by the fact that my posts were not inflammatory in any way. I also stand by the fact that I had good reason to be upset with Joe West's strike zone, for both teams, during the early part of the game. However, all those things aside, I can understand, considering the score of the game, how my mere presence in this game thread can be very irritating. I respect that, and that's why I decided to leave.
  10. Look, I'm not rubbing in the score at all, but it's worth mentioning. The score of the game is irrelevant. Regardless, it's probably not a good idea for me to be posting in this thread, all things considered. Enjoy the rest of the game guys.
  11. The 2-0 to Drew is the second one now. EDIT: Although it has nothing to do with the wide zone, because even though it wasn't, I'm guessing Joe West called it low.
  12. Gameday has him there also.
  13. Pettitte really has been so incredibly lucky since the ASB (minus his last start). The bottom of the first was no different.
  14. The only call I had a problem in the bottom of the first was the 1-1 pitch to Pedroia. In the end, that calls effect on the inning was very small.
  15. Wow, I cannot believe that wasn't a strike.
  16. I hope everything turns out ok. Good luck with whatever you're dealing with.
  17. Really should be constantly trying to take advantage of Joe West's strike zone off the outside corner.
  18. The 1-1 pitch to Cano was awful. Not really sure what he was waiting for. It's flukey, but Cano is truly awful with RISP.
  19. lol, I was being sarcastic.
  20. Really giving that pitch off the outside corner. As long as West stays consistent.
  21. Yeah man, nothing beats watching people get hurt.
  22. Don't opposing teams offensives have the same advantage as the Yankees' offense in NYS?
  23. The playoffs are a crapshoot. Beane's regular season success, especially considering the money he had to work with, is extremely impressive.
