When it comes to Yankees' fans, I'm one of the biggest Javy Vazquez supporters there is. Unfortunately, this isn't working out so far, and he's showing no signs of improvement. The obvious move would be to pull him from the rotation, and while I'm close to that point, I'm not quite there yet.
His next scheduled start is 5/7 at Boston. That would be an enormous mistake. Fortunately, the previous day is an off day, giving the Yankees the option to skip him. Move everyone up a slot in the rotation (Hughes - 5/7, Sabathia - 5/8, Burnett - 5/9, and Pettitte - 5/10). Skipping Javy the next turn through the rotation would prevent him from facing Boston, and the extra rest might allow him to figure things out.
Then, start him on 5/7 at Detroit. If he still struggles, then the Yankees might have to consider other alternatives.
