  1. Wow, Posada... I hope Joe sticks with Robertson in the 8th.
  2. Jorge Posada is just horrendous defensively.
  3. You would call him up right now?
  4. Beltre really has been spectacular this year.
  5. Fortunately they hung on here, even though the pitching continues to be a problem. I guess you could look at a couple positives - Boone Logan threw the ball well and Joba made a couple nice pitches.
  6. Would have been the perfect situation to squeeze, especially with Gardner in a slump. EDIT: Very exciting, good for the kid.
  7. If Joba blows this game, there's a good chance he'll be officially removed from the setup role. Now or never Joba.
  8. A-Rod has to make a better throw than that. EDIT: Robertson gets extremely lucky. I think the bottom of the sixth will decide the game. If the Yankees middle of the order can take back some of the momentum, and score a couple runs, I think they hold on and win the game. If not, I think the Angels bash around the Yankees' bullpen and win. EDIT 2: And they go 1-2-3. Boone Logan is coming in to face the heart of the Angels' order. I'll be stunned if it's still 6-5 after this inning. EDIT 3: Boy this team is so stupid. Boone, you have one decent pitch. Throw it.
  9. Classic Angel small ball helps out the Yankees, but considering the Yankees' bullpen, the next twelve outs are going to be tough. EDIT: How long are they going to stick with Javy? He has absolutely nothing, hasn't from the start of the game. EDIT 2: And Joe Girardi continues to prove why he is just an awful manager.
  10. Javy's number one weakness today came back to bite him. He got two strikes on both hitters this inning, and couldn't finish them off. He hasn't missed a single bat so far today. EDIT: There's a very good chance, in my opinion, that Javy is going to let them back in the game. He doesn't have good stuff, and it might cost him the third time through the order. EDIT: And there you go. Not surprising at all. Javy has very little today.
  11. Cano is this team's best hitter. He needs protection. EDIT: And a big wasted opportunity there. Hopefully it doesn't come back to bite them.
  12. Javy picked a good time to find his best fastball of the day, as it helped him work around the leadoff double.
  13. Robbie seems to be getting hot again. EDIT: Very big inning coming up for Javy. You always want to put up a zero after a big inning, and he has to go through the heart of the order. EDIT 2: Granderson and Swisher are horrendous defensively.
  14. Between his location, velocity, and how hard the balls were hit off him, Javy was awful in the first inning. He got lucky, and hopefully he settles down the rest of the way. EDIT: Javy finally puts together his first decent sequence of the game, against Juan Rivera. Hopefully that is a sign of things to come.
  15. Second break for the A's this inning.
  16. Who else but Bob Davidson.
  17. Can't be playing that deep against Dusty Brown.
  18. Got to tip your hat to Sean O'Sullivan. He has been excellent since the first inning.
  19. I'm becoming concerned about this rotation.
