  1. Should be Mo for Choo, but it's Logan.
  2. No reason to let him start the 8th inning, with a rested Robertson. But it's Girardi, who never anticipates trouble.
  3. Considering he hasn't pitched since Wednesday, and with the heart of the order likely to come up in the latter half of the bottom of the 8th, I hope he's willing to go to Mo for at least four outs.
  4. Curtis is locked in.
  5. Ken Singleton is pretty bad at this. He gets the pitch type wrong so often.
  6. A-Rod looks pretty bad. He's trying to pull everything.
  7. His off-speed stuff has been excellent, his fastball, not so much. Lots of good swings against it. And that was horrendous pitch selection against Choo. As good as Javy's change has been today, you can't throw three straight to Choo.
  8. Third time through the order. Lets see what Javy can do... EDIT: Not surprised by how this inning has started. I have a feeling they're see Javy's fastball really well, which explains why they're swinging at so many first pitches.
  9. Sucks to think about what kind of contract they're going to have to give Jeter after this year.
  10. When isn't it a bad day for the umpires?
  11. That's really bad. So many bad calls, unfortunately there just isn't anything that can be done about it. Oh wait...
  12. I would be stunned if the Red Sox's front office made the decision to be sellers at the deadline.
  13. Rivera is coming back next year, Soria or no Soria. I think it's insane to trade away a bat like Montero's, a cost controlled player who's arbitration clock hasn't even begun to tick yet, for a 70 inning a year reliever.
  14. Jason Stark said the Yankees have dangled Jesus Montero for Soria. I'm becoming increasingly convinced that Brian Cashman is clueless.
  15. Joba and a couple minor league pitchers who are going to be back of the rotation starters at best.
  16. Right, because that's exactly what I wanted... According to reports, they were willing to take on Dan Haren's contract, so apparently that wasn't the hold up. However, they weren't willing to part with Joba for Haren, which is what I'm upset over.
  17. Yankees win, but between missing out on Haren, and A-Rod's injury, today has a chance to be a crippling day in Yankee land.
  18. And now A-Rod is hurt. The Yankees winning is turning out to be a slim silver lining on the day.
  19. I was kind of on the fence. He's done some good things, and some bad things. But hanging onto Joba Chamberlain, when you have the chance to acquire Dan Haren (who is signed through 2013 with a below market value contract) is pretty much a fireable offense.
  20. I'm no longer a Brian Cashman supporter.
