  1. Keep telling yourself that.
  2. I didn't say he was the best of all-time. He is the most dominant, and you could never convince me otherwise until somebody comes along and has a higher ERA+.
  3. Funny, not one of those pitchers have better indexed numbers than Pedro.
  4. Here, this list is based on TALENT and DOMINANCE. Like you know what those are. http://www.mlbcenter.com/forums/showpost.p...251&postcount=2 Look where Pedro ranks among STARTERS.
  5. That has nothing to do with dominance you f***ing ********. That has everything to do with longevity. Bill James had Pedro has the 29th best pitcher ever, after his first 8 years!
  6. Because that's exactly what I said . . .
  7. That's kind of the bullcrap I was shooting for. Jeter is great because of his stats, not because he runs around the dugout with pom-poms, smilies for the cameras, and pumps his fist after a 3rd inning single.
  8. Because there aren't. The stats show it. But most Yankee fans don't care about stats. They judge players on mystique, aura, and intangibles.
  9. I don't care if his coach f***ed up. Pedro has a torn labrum. BFD. He has a f***ing lead pipe lodged in his shoulder.
  10. Pedro had such a bad year last year right? 125 ERA+, better than Ryan's 112 career ERA+.
  11. Pedro's had one year of an ERA almost 4. Do you want to see more than the first half of Sandy's CAREER? Koufax, Average year; 1955-1961 7-11, 3.94 ERA, 182 innings, 183 K's, 9.05 K/9, 7.55 H/9, 1.37 WHIP
  12. You're throwing all of this unadjusted ******** at me, and it holds no water.
  13. Throw ERA out the window. Last 5 years, ERA+ Pedro: 201 Koufax: 168 (1 better than Pedro's CAREER) Last 5 years, K/9 Pedro: 10.75 Koufax: 9.44 NOBODY can touch Pedro's stuff in his prime. NOBODY.
  14. And if Randy leaves the NL, Pedro is almost a lock to lead the league in K/9 every year, and probably K's, too.
  15. That really tells me something about how you pick what stats to use. Strikeouts 1994-142-5 1995-174-5 1996-222-3 1997-305-2 1998-251-2 1999-313-1 2000-284-1 2001-163-9 2002-239-1 2003-206-2 2004-227-2 Act-2653-5 Car-2653-20 Strikeouts/9IP 1994-8.83-3 1995-8.04-4 1996-9.22-3 1997-11.37-1 1998-9.67-2 1999-13.21-1 2000-11.78-1 2002-10.79-1 2003-9.93-1 2004-9.41-2 Act-10.40-3 Car-10.40-3
  16. Like who? Peter Gammons? Dare I say John Kruk?
  17. You can't be serious. Pedro has the third highest K/9 rate ever. He strikes out over 10 per 9 innings, Ryan is 4th at 9.55. Behind Randy, Kerry Wood, and Pedro. And if you think Pedro's K/9 rate is going drop 0.85 in 4 years in the NL, you're nuts.
  18. He's more dominant than all of them, and you can show me K numbers all you want. How about Pedro's K/9 rate, 13.21, DH included which was the best until Randy broke it in 2001 with 13.41, don't forget he got to face the pitcher. Curt Schilling has the same ERA+ (stat that measures dominance the most) than Koufax. Nobody in the history of the game is 49% better than the average pitcher in their league other than Pedro. Pedro is 67% better, Lefty Grove is 48% better.
  19. You guys haven't shown me ONE stat other than no hitters and the length of Ryan's career. That much speaks for itself.
  20. No hitters require more luck than anything.
  21. This Yankee fan, who is more knowledgable than every Yankee fan on this site COMBINED seems to think Pedro is the most dominant pitcher ever. http://forums.netsports.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=31227 And I suggest you read the whole thread before showing me "he said that so he can't be" or "HE KNOWZ WATZ ^!"
  22. Show me some stats that backup your opinions, no hitters don't count. Derek Lowe has a no hitter. Hideo Nomo has two.
