  1. Nah, i don't think so. The Angels didn't have a single lefty in their bullpen last year, it was the only minor weakness of their bullpen. In fact, i think Romero may be their only lefty on the entire staff. Colon, Lackey, Escobar, Lackey, Donnelly, Shields, K-rod, they are all righties. This gives them a lefty option.
  2. ANAHEIM -- The Angels took the next step in bolstering their pitching staff by acquiring left-handed reliever J.C. Romero from the Twins in exchange for Minor League infielder Alexi Casilla.
  3. millar doesn't even deserve his own thread, his fat ass can't even fit on my computer screen.
  4. everyone but delcarmen
  5. Red Sox Trade Manny to the Dodgers Youkilis to the Orioles Nixon and Clement to Phillies Dodgers Trade: JD Drew and DLowe to Baltimore Baltimore Trades Tejada to the Red Sox Phillies trades: Abreu to Boston Ha, it would never happen...but fun to think about
  6. what do you expect him to say?
  7. -Gammons though the Marte/Renteria deal was great and made noise that he feels as if the Red Sox think Renteria may be in some sort of slide and needed to get out of the contract. - So many many pregnant pauses and careful formation of words. Made it sound like Theo is still in on everything.. it was very strange. Maybe he's just being sensational and spinning people up for fun, I don't know. on ESPN News, he also had some interesting comments: Braves Offical quoted as saying Marte was the best player they ever traded The Sox have interest in Anaheims Maicer Izturis, but the Angels would rather trade Orlando Cabrera, but the Sox no longer want to take on his contract. The Yankees are a bit upset about A-Rod calling Johnny the 'best leadoff man in baseball' when Derek Jeter is still leading off for the Yanks David Wells may be traded away for a shortstop Johnny has no real interest in the Yanks, but its just a Boras tactic Manny will stay in Boston. Bill Mueller is close to signing with the Dodgers.
  8. anyone we can package to bring OC back?
  9. idk if thats really something to be very proud of
  10. Exactly! Most fans have ZERO idea that the Pirates are loaded with starting pitching talent, and the trading of Redman tothe Royals for a reliever SOLIDIFIES their staff. It's about god damn time Dave Littlefield has FINALLY delivered on his promises.
  11. How 'bout them Hoosiers??? Losing to Indiana State. Nice.
  12. I'd still offer him arbitration. Just to keep that option open a little longer in case he changes his mind. He is a Class Act, we need more guys like John Olerud in MLB.
  13. I heard a rumor about the Cubs sending Mark Prior to Philly for Abreu.
  14. I gotta say red is his color http://cache.boston.com/images/sports/redsox/2005/olerud_homer_800600.jpg
  15. cross one off the potential 1B list

  17. is this the guy who posts on your site?
  18. they are meeting later tonight face-to-face
  19. its true ESPNnews reported it from Dallas
  20. I think he will go to Minnesota of all places.
  21. Hey MC, here is my all time favorite Duke picture. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v319/uberhorn/post-4-11107815191.jpg
  22. Last night McNamara dished out 10 assists, so if hes not scoring thats not all bad. Demetris Nichols (Boston Native) shot 50% from 3 point range last night and he is our 3 point threat now, along with Diaper Dandy Eric Devendorf who had 19 points last night also, played for Oak Hill last year. Looking at their losses, florida is now ranked #11, obviously that is not a bad loss. And last year Bucknell beat #7 Pitt @ Pitt, and #10 Kansas in the Tourney, and they returned all of their starters. Also 'Cuse killed Texas Tech at MSG. By the time January Rolls around, Hall of Fame Coach, Jim Boeheim, will have these guys ready to play and compete night in and night out.
  23. what will they do with izturis now?
  24. I heard that the Tribe are probably going to sign Trevor Hoffman, and even if they don't, they won't go back to Wickman. Wickman could close for two years until Craig Hansen is ready. If Hansen's progress speeds up, Wickman could set up for a very strong bullpen.
  25. here is some clips of some of the angels top prospects. some think morales could be the next teixeria. http://www.futureangels.com/columns/homeplate/0511_1.html
