  1. If we're gonna give up Clement, Manny, and Marte, we better be getting Baldelli over Gathright.
  2. I think the soriano for wilkerson and others is by far the dumbest move this off season They already had a good 2nd basemen in Vidro and now they have alot of $$$ tied up in someone who wants nothing to do w/ them and if the Nats think they will get someone of Becketts stature in return for him there nuts
  3. looks like the sox have inquired about soriano to possibly play CF http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2005/12/29/AR2005122900894.html
  4. Can any one see that no one is going to win this argument?
  5. so did the list of your "farm system"....hahahaha
  6. Health Lesson, warm conditions assist blister formation.
  7. so those other 26 championships mean nothing, yet you are always talking about them? and I won't hear anymore talk about Alex Rodriguez as the MVP, that seems unlikely....there are other teams out there besides the your "so-called team" It's kind of nice to have some players under 35 but I guess you'll never know that feeling.
  8. this made me laugh! it's not like he's KEVIN BROWN! he is the 2003 World Series MVP, what has hanley proved in the major league's? let's see um...we still have the 2004 ALCS MVP, the 2004 World Series MVP....Falling Apart? b-b-b-b- ullshit a rotation not being bolstered? wtf are you talking about.
  9. Atlanta Journal Constitution over the weekend was saying the Braves and Sox were discussing a deal which would have sent Chipper Jones/John Thomson to Boston for Matt Clement and Bronson Arroyo. This deal is on the back burner until Manny's situation is stablized. Chipper would go to Left Field if the Sox can do a deal for Ramierez. The greatest interest is coming from the Angels. Chone Figgins, Dallas McPhereson and a prospect would be exchanged for Manny. Chipper can play left as well and third and first. the blue jays have set the bar...everyone knows whoever has the most corner infielders is going to take the AL east...
  10. I'd rather Manny go to an NL team, instead of the Orioles. We'll see, though. Usually, the more teams involved, the more likely the deal falls through. I just can't see the D-Rays taking on Matsui without the Mets paying some of his contract. They are a low budget team that can't afford a big contract for a cast away 2B/SS.
  11. A little pricey for him but when your rotation looks like the Rangers does I would have paid a Billion for Millwood lol he's an amazing 4th starter. great 3rd starter. decent 2nd starter. and crap 1st starter.
  12. how about a massive "Idiot" book burning party??
  13. Getting Millwood to visit Boston so quickly after Damon left seems like it's going to happen quickly and be the precurser for a few of the next moves. I wouldn't be surprised to see Millwood signed for 4/$44-48 in the next 24 hours sometime.
  14. Back to the millwood situation the rangers aren't going to give him a 5 year offer, after the Chan Ho Park debacle.
  15. I'd say 70-80 wins for the Royals. The have some good veterans to help out their youngsters and I think that they can avoid losing 100 games.
  16. cincy just lost at home to the bills 37-27 and potentially just lost the #2 seed, which looks like it will go to Denver
  17. heres part of the espn insider from today
  18. It's s-s-so mean to make f-f-fun of J-J-Johnny's s-s-stutter-r-r Johnny Damon, may you ride off into the sunset on the horse with Wade Boggs, and may you miss the cutoff man over and over and over and over....
  19. I am so sick of hearing from all the ESPN idiots on the radio talk about how this is the second coming of the Babe Ruth trade and we sold our souls to the devil to win it all in 2004 and now it's payback time, the curse is back! If this is payback, big friggin deal . There is no way in hell this comes close to a Ruthian collapse. Thanks for your 4 years Johnny, but sorry, you are replaceable. Anyways, I don't think he'll fit in well with the Yankees at all. He's one of the loosest guys you'll ever find, and he takes pride in cultivating that image. When he has to rein in his behavior (a la Jason Giambi), he'll be a much different player, and his performance and production will suffer for it. This is in addition to his noodle arm turning every gapper into a triple, or allowing the Doug Mirabellis of the world to go from first to third at will. (I know he's in the NL now, but I couldn't think of anyone slower!)
  20. He used to stutter really bad. Maybe speaking slowly is how he controls it. But yeah, he comes across as a "dingbat." I think the Sox lost the only player they had that made Manny look smart.
