For anyone who knows anything about hockey, here you go....I think all of these new jerseys in the league blow. I can name at least a half dozen teams that need to go back to the jerseys they were wearing in the early 90's....and I'll do just that LA Kings- Nice purple and silver ghetto crap..now go back to the Wayne Gretzky era black and silver Buffalo- I like they current jerseys..but the blue and gold was way better. Bruins- Get rid of pooh bear 3rd jersey, and go back to plain, good looking Garden era jersey Flames- yeah yeah, everyone loves their red jersey..but the old 1989 style jersey was still better looking Is it just me or has this team gone through 6 different jerseys since 1989? Oilers- Nothing really wrong with the current uni's, but go back to 1980's jersey with the colored shoulders. Re-live your glory, or else. San Jose- Those space monkey suits they wear now are hidious..there was nothing wrong with their first jersey. In fact it was one of the most popular jerseys in the league for several seasons, so why change? Bonus- Ottawa. The white jersey is great..what the hell is up with the butt ugly Melvin Martian red jersey though? It's something I'd wipe with after I take a #2. Go back to black 1992 jersey. It was hard to read the name and number on the back of them, but who cares? I'd rather have trouble seeing that than go blind due to the ugliness of the red jersey.

NESN reported last night that Joe Thornton rejected the Bruins recent offer. No details, but it didn't sound like there was much dialogue or back and forth. Not surprisingly, it sounded like he just dismissed it out of hand. Sounds like KP Dupont's recent article might be correct -- B's looking to trade Joe because he'll walk next year anyway.

Excellent job in his first major league appearance. His performance may be lost a bit in such an eventful game. The poise he showed during the game came was mirrored by his post game interview. He seems like a nice young man ...Great to see a rookie step out of OUR bull pen and throw 94 mph. 1-2-3 inning in a pressure situation. I can't wait to see more of the guy. I think the Duquette depletion years are behind us. Love the boys we have now and love the boys we have coming.

I think we need to make 1 final push for AJ... I highly doubt Clement will rest for the rest of the season, in the middle of a pennant/playoff race to boot, I was just thinkin at what a mental challenge it would be for matt to step out on the mound again, even if he is OK physically...when he does it I will have gained a whole lot of respect for him. He's a tough competitor and he will do it sooner rather than later.

that would seem like a better deal than the burnett one, their SP is pretty set, but their bullpen (as the case with many other teams) could use some help and aubrey huff never hurts anyone's team, I would do this trade if I was the ChiSox, plus they wouldn't have to give up McCarthy. that would leave us in the running for burnett!

I think we may overpay for burnett, but I do think we will definetely get another SP especially since clement went down...thoughts?

do you think the yankees pitching problems are worse this year or last year? I mean javy vazquez was at least decent for half the year, right?
