  12. LA weather: 1 PDT (4 pm EDT) observation at LAX: Few clouds at 1,500 feet, 5,000 scattered, visibility 6 miles in haze, temperature 71F, DP 62F, wind out of the west at 12 mph. Forecast: The low clouds and fog will burn off by early afternoon, and it will be sunny, with temperatures in the 70's. Wind remaining west, which is out toward right center.
  13. Now that it appears Timlin is going to be the closer with Schilling starting next Thursday, I hope Francona had Wallace show Timlin the video of OC's steal and the ensuing double steal from the previous game. Timlin works so slow he builds up a lot of intensity for me when he's on the mound, especially with men on base. I would like to see him speed up his attack on the hitter and maybe that would help discourage running on him. You can take all day to putt, but it doesn't will the ball in to the hole any better.
  14. Lineups. KFK, Graff back in. Meanwhile the Angels have their B-squad. Molina brother #2, Davanon, and Maicer Izturis (who?). They will pay for taking us so lightly (I hope) Lineups: Red Sox: 1. 17. MFY HAVE A 3-0 LEAD OVER THE Fraud Sox in the 5th.
  18. We are playing the 19-losses in a row Royals, so maybe Theo wants to see how good he can start against a bad team. Even if Schilling pitches awful, our offense should still pound them.
  19. Game Info Date: Saturday, August 20th, 2005 First Pitch: 4:05pm ET TV: FOX Starting Pitchers: http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/mlb/images/team_logos/50x50/ana.gif#54 Ervin Santana (6-5, 4.62) http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/mlb/images/team_logos/50x50/bos.gif#61 Bronson Arroyo (10-7, 4.28) Arroyo set to tackle Angels Red Sox (70-50) at Angels (70-52), 4:05 p.m. ET The Red Sox don't have much time to savor one of their grittiest wins of the season. Following a 4-3, 10-inning victory over the Angels on Friday night, the Red Sox knew they would be right back at it on Saturday afternoon. Bronson Arroyo will take the ball for the Sox, seeking his 11th win of the season. The Angels counter with rookie Ervin Santana, who has never faced the Red Sox. The teams have split the first two games of this four-game series. The Red Sox stranded 16 runners on Friday night and blew a 3-0 lead, but still found a way to win.
