  1. nope
  2. look at this from the yes boards unclassy bastards
  3. Yankees could pursue Ponson September 2 New York Post(registration required):
  4. I am going to keep this short.... 1. Sign Damon unless he wants too much and too many years ala Pedro. 2. Keep Manny if at all possible. UNLESS they can get Dunn to replace him. This whole Cameron deal stinks...Cameron can not come close to Manny's production. 3. Pedroia comes in to play 2B...get rid of all our other 2B except for Graff or Cora. Keep one of those guys. 4. Go hard after AJ Burnett. Here is my quandary...if we (I do) expect Paplebon to enter the rotation next year then we will have too many STARTERS...get that clear. You can never have too much pitching, but you can have too many starters. I think Wakefield goes to middle relief or gets thrown under the bus. Keep Wade Miller. 5. Hopefully we will get a good feel for Delcarmen's abilities in the next few weeks. We need find a power lefty arm for middle relief if Delcarmen or DiNardo don't work out.. 6. If Foulke can not get back to form we must look to Billy Wagner as a free agent. The kids we just signed can also be used as a set up man until he is ready to be a big league closer. 7. first base- huff, konerko, or overbay...overbay has good numbers in his career .362 OBP (.371 career) .445 SLG (.449 career) .807 OPS (.820 career) 16 HR
  5. per rotoworld
  6. I think the Red Sox will take 2 of 3 this weekend. They will outslug them tonight, and tomorrow they will get a solid performance from Clement to take the win. Sunday, I think the Sox may get a loss. Facing old friend Lopez will be tough. I look for them to keep rolling for at least the first half of the series.
  7. if lenny can give us 5 innings, with 4 or 5 ER, I'll be happy.
  8. whoa, timlin didn't let any inherited runners score, awesome!!!!
  9. not a rookie vs us.......Noooooooooooooooo

They'll get that chance on Thursday night, when Bronson Arroyo takes the mound. The theme of this series thus far has been comebacks by the home team. The Sox rallied from a five-run deficit to win on Tuesday and roared back from a four-run hole on Wednesday night. The Sox are simply on fire at Fenway Park, winning 18 of their last 19 home games. Thursday will also mark the return of closer Keith Foulke, who has been out since undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery on July 7. Pitching matchup TB: RHP Doug Waechter • 5-8, 4.94 ERA in 2005 • 0-0, 3.95 ERA vs. BOS in 2005 BOS: RHP Bronson Arroyo • 10-9, 4.44 ERA in 2005 • 2-0, 3.46 ERA vs. TB in 2005 Player to watch Third baseman Bill Mueller is batting .368 over a 14-game hitting streak. Quotable "It's easy to quit. That's the one thing I've tried to do this season is stay with my head up -- I've had my teammates' support. It's not about me, it's about the Red Sox. We've played well, we're in first place, it's time to keep rolling." -- Kevin Millar Quick hits Doug Mirabelli stole his second base of the season on Wednesday, giving the slow-footed catcher a career high. ... The Red Sox are 20-13 in one-run games. ... Believe it or not, David Ortiz and Manny Ramirez, who have combined for 69 homers, have not gone back-to-back all season. They pulled off that feat six times in 2004. On deck • Friday: vs. Baltimore, 7:05 p.m. ET • Saturday: vs. Baltimore, 7:05 p.m. ET • Sunday: vs. Baltimore, 2:05 p.m. ET
