    If that's the case, Tito has to stop thinking about individuals and think about the team. I heard him today on WEEI defending Manny playing shallow in left. He is a players' manager to a fault.

    I thought he put a lazy swing on that pitch and I would think he might sit on a fastball in a spot with a fresh count and a runner in scoring posiiton, not wave at a breaking pitch.

    Snyder is worthless. Coming out of the pen and walking hitters, he doesn't deserve to be on the mound.

    The fact that Theo is even talking about this trade may indicate two serious concerns. First, Schilling won't be back for a while, and second, they may not be confident in Lester. If that's the case then Theo may think he almost has to make the deal. From what I've seen though Gabbard throws well and I see no reason to go out and make a deal.

    I wonder how many of these injuries to pitchers are a result of the organizations and how these young pitchers are coached. It's tough to judge this trade on single events, such as no-hitters and injuries. It's possible Sanchez would not have thrown that no-hitter in the AL or not even gotten hurt if he was still with the Sox. He was a real good prospect and it would be good to see him recover and pitch well again.
