  1. Why would the Sox need to beat this?
  2. Please win the f***ing game.
  3. EDIT: WTF is up with these smileys?
  4. Pedroia has a ton of fight in him. He could take Gardner! He could also probably punch Jeter in the mouth pretty good.
  5. Wily Mo Pena vs. Kyle Farnsworth please.
  6. Today we salute Mr. Pro Sports Heckler Guy. That's right, the real men of genius have made a comeback. Let's hope we have a guy like this at the park tonight. WIN. [youtube=Mr. Pro Sports Heckler Guy]4x0MbVYVE2A
  7. I was instantly intimidated by not only the language he uses, but the fancy graphs that I didn't even know existed. This guy knows his s***.
  8. Where did you get these? They're pretty cool. EDIT: Wow, I must be blind.
  9. He's stated multiple times that he has no problem with trades up until 2005, where it seems the Yankees have pulled off quite a slew of inexplicable trades.
  10. Joba looks like he would kill Youk in a fight. EDIT: Eh, nevermind. It looks that way, but Youk stands at 6'1'' 220, while Joba is 6'2'' 230. I still say Joba wins though.
  11. I don't think anyone thinks otherwise. I am surprised that you even consider him average.
  12. Especially with Cano coming up. He's their hottest hitter at the moment.
  13. On top of everything else that JHB does, he's also a meteorologist!
  14. Welcome to the board!
  15. And then there's also this... Joba was just absolutely filthy. Credit where credit is due...well here it is. Given the size of the strike zone tonight, the only way a team was going to win was going to be on a cheapie. We just got the short end of the stick. Tomorrow's game is a toss-up (Wake has been awesome this year, but the Yanks seem to have his number, and I can never tell how we're going to do against Pettitte) IMO, and I like our chances on Sunday.
  16. I'm not saying it was only the Red Sox who got screwed. But to have a pitch like that, albeit a consistent call, decide the at bat in the situation it occurred is nothing short of outrageous. You can only adjust to a strike zone to a certain degree. This guy's strike zone was way too large. The Yankees couldn't adjust, and the Red Sox couldn't adjust. That's why the game was decided by a f***ing nubber by Giambi. It also doesn't help that the Sox are a team that practice patience at the plate. They get royally screwed when an umpire like tonight's pulls this s***. And it wasn't "a bit inside", it was about 10-12 inches inside. Pedroia's play looked like a tie, and Melky looked out after watching replay. They were both incredibly close plays, but those are irrelevant anyway. We're talking about the strike zone.
  17. All you need are the two eyes in your face to know that it was an obvious ball.
  18. I think having umpires like the one tonight at home plate will take a toll on the offense's ability to score runs. And if you don't care about where they rank as an offense, well, I don't know what to tell you.
