  1. no, he really hasnt been doing great with the sox. go look at other threads and see why everyones venting him in this thread.
  2. wow. u just proved my point. with a great defense, y did they lose to the browns? they have nothing really. and a poor defense. how come coles and portis didnt light it up? portis has no o-line to make him holes, and coles has brunelll passing to him. it just doesnt match up. the skins arent goign to be any good this season or next, maybe a few years, but not in the near future.
  3. wow, i really dont.
  4. but wheres the o-line for portis? theres really none, wheres the passing game for coles? a washed up brunell whos on the brink of retirement? please. gibbs? sure hes a great coach, but hes challenging himself right now with the talent hes been given. hes also past his prime. he shuold take all that money and go buy himself a retirement home on bermuda. hed enjoy it a lot more there.
  5. i dont think many other managers would care to look into that stuff. sure there are other managers out there like torre, but there are even more out there who dont match him. im not saying hes the BEST ever, im saying i think hes one of the better managers the mlb has had over its existance.
  6. i tihnk they got the skins this coming week...hopefully this is it. skins are most overrated team in the nfl...huge hype in preseason all because of portis and gibbs...what happens? they are 1-4.
  7. because he makes good decisions. putting a-rod in the number 2 slot may have been the smartest thing this year. and thats saying a lot, considering a-rods not normally in a no. 2 slot. he found out rivera could pitch 6 innings. hes won MANY, i dont feel like looking up how many, world series championships with them. i think hes doing something right, talent alone cant produce as many world series championships torre has on its own.
  8. i do too, im just saying its too early to think that we are completely owning. if tom brady went down we could be looking at 4-12. wont happen because we have others who can step up, but the thought of that kind of a POSSIBLE, but VERY UNLIKELY record is horrifying. no doubt we repeat as champs, down the stretch we are just tooo good.
  9. no, the talent there could make any manager look good, but its not really the managers doing.
  10. by "well" i meant got the starting QB job, but thats not saying much
  11. more posts...look in the feedback/questions forum...theres a few threads on that stuff.
  12. oswalt in game 5, i agree.
  13. dont say that yet, we got off to a great start the year after our first superbowl win in 2001, and then we got off to a great start in '02 and we blew it. final record of 9-7 and we missed the playoffs.
  14. he manages well with what hes got, im not saying he would be able to carry them, but he would make the right decisions at the right time, he wouldnt be blamed for missing the playoffs, the players would. and if not, the players SHOULD. joe torre knows a thing or two about baseball.
  15. yeah your just not used to be ABLE to be cocky.
  16. no, i have a ton of respect for bledsoe. he left new england knowing he wasnt going to get anymore done here, yet he chooses to speak about what he got done here and how he had good memories and it wont be the same for him anywhere else. thats y u see our players help him up or give him a hug after we hit him hard or sack him, we miss him, and are glad that hes doing well somewhere else.
  17. wow, hope everything gets sorted out with him, i have a TON of respect for him. however, not to make this sound bad or anything, but if we dont face rivera, and we win late in a game, yankee fans will just say that we didnt have to face rivera, so we didnt REALLY beat them, and that will piss the living hell out of me. that said, like sarasoxfan said, any advanatage we can use is fair game. as we know, we already dont have our great post-season pitcher in williamson, so they can go without rivera. although it is kinda wrong to use 2 family deaths of rivera as an advantage... :wtf:
  18. gunna be a great game, nail-biter, close game all the way through. although the seahawks have much to prove against us, they have to show us that their great offense can beat our great defense. which could be key, however, is that we are going to need all our offensive threats/weapons to make this a good chance of a win. i still believe we can win without the likes of brown/branch/b.johnson, but the fact is, its going to be MUCH harder.
  19. when i tihnk chick i think "hot girl" so hopefully im right
  20. yea i remember you going on and on about it. yeszir...i know where you live...
  21. i used to not mind mets fans, now i hate all NY fans, and while im at it, lets make a list of all NY teams, and this is true: yankees suck mets suck knicks suck rangers suck islanders suck jets suck (when they beat a GOOD opponent let me know) giants suck (ok, maybe not so much, but i still think suck when i hear NYG) metrostars suck please let me know if im missing out...
  22. the patriots know what it takes to beat a team, no matter what the score. a win is a win in football, no matter what the score is. i dont care if we crush opponents, as long as we get the win im fine. and im goin to the pats game this sunday against the seahawks!! gunna be a great game. both teams undefeated, one gets something in the loss column, hopefully the hawks...ill probably be on tv, i have second row behind the field goal. ill dress in all blue and wave my arms like nuts. im on the side without the lighthouse, try to find me!! and NO, i will NOT make a poster that says "hi talksox buds"
