im not sure they would make too much...basically the rest of the mlb would prefer the sox in the WS than the spankmees. and with that being said....THIS IS MY 1000th post!!!

i know, my friend just has a regular tall metal fence around the perimeter... regardless its very sad and we shouldnt be using this as an "advanatage", i hope everything is all right with him, i have a TON of respect for him.

the sox would be where they are without manny, i mean hes had a big year, but when u compare to where the sox would be without manny to where the angels were this season with vlad, ill take vlad with the angels, without him i dont think they had a legit playoff chance, and certainly wouldnt have beaten the a's in that series.

my god, i have to agree...who cares, my bad, it was a perfect game...o well... anyway, mussina has been pretty good against us if i remember correctly (?), and i really would like to absolutely demolish him in game 1, and make him nervous for his next game against us. and why are there so many threads on this topic?

i have more confidence in wakefield in the post-season, in the cold weather, in yankee stadium, against teh yankees, then i do pedro. pedros a great pitcher, and i understand y they would have him game 2, but wake is KNOWN for pitching well against the yankees. they fear him, and know its a battle everytime they go out against him. against pedro, they know they can manhandle him if its the right night, and they WANT to.

haha maybe. im just amazed at how people can say theres a curse, i mean, theres no such thing. i just think its an excuse for players to do bad.

when i think of mussina at fenway, i think of that one dreadful game where he almost threw a no-hitter, and then *gasp* carl everett *sigh* broke it up. to me, i would rather have had him get the damn no hitter because i hate everett, but anyway, it will be a fight no matter whos pitching. its red sox/yankees, and these are the games that prove what it means to be a red sox fan.

if pedro is gone, who do we use next year if we dont get another pitcher? and if pedro is gone, pedro will be a yankee, no if's and's or but's about it. someone already said in this thread, maybe another one, how we let go of clemens because we thought he was old and done. what happened? 2 years with the yanks he gets 40+ wins, and his 300th. pedro is a must sign in the off-season. and without him, we dont have the curt/pedro 1-2 punch anymore.

id like to face the yankees, so we can beat them. i also didnt care who we faced, whether it be the twins or yanks, but i just have so much confidence in this team and how they are playing as of late, i just dont see this team gettin knocked out of the playoffs.

yea sorry bout that, kinda got carried away after someone brought football up...anyway, im tired of this curse talk. the people who believe in it the most, surprisingly, are yankee fans. they called on it while we were on our hot streak hoping that the bambino would stop us from overtaking them in the al east. THERE IS NO DAMN CURSE. whoever started this thread should be shot.

shut up u pathetic excuse for an internet message board poster. my god, just go away, and most of us realized that it was a horrible thing, gave our prayers to the family, and then realized that even though its bad, it is still good we wouldnt have needed to face him, even though he should be ok. you havent changed since coming back, and you still dont get the full posts through your head before you post something in response. but to tell someone like you, its useless. just go back to your hole.

no, an o-line is the essence to a good RB. i play football and im both d-line and o-line. a rb wont get anywhere without created holes. and remember, the d isnt stupid either, theyll just close out wherever other openings are. portis is HUMAN, and cant perform on his own.
