  1. No. I disagree. He has been hitting his spots much better than in previous years. He gave up so many walks last year, but I'm too lazy to go get the actual stat. My back-up? See: Boston 1 @ Baltimore 0, April 21st 2005. Shutdown one of the best offenses in the AL.
  2. Oh, by the way, Tommy (A-Rod), Aaron Boone looks like he's skipping in that picture
  3. Red Sox > Yankees. That is all.
  4. You're talking about a different subject here. We were talking about restraint, and you go and start playing the blame game. Anyway, I too agree he shouldn't have even TOUCHED Sheffield. I went on in my post about how Sheffield overreacted, NOT that every single fan thinks that dude was innocent. So before you go on with your lame assertions READ THE f***ING POSTS AND KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT. (Heh, 26-6, see? The correct usage of "f***ing"...g and all.) Again, Cornroyo it IS Cornroyo's fault that he tagged the D-Ray, but hey, every team retaliates. Are you trying to tell me that the Yankees are never guilty of hitting someone? Heh, A-Rod's guilty of SLAPPING someone!! Don't come over here and tell me it's not okay to HIT someone...something A-Rod won't do cause he's afraid to break a f***ing fingernail. It WAS A-Rod's fault. Like Youk said, they didn't have beef between themselves before, but A-Rod's ego showed up in time. I also believe the conversation went something like this, (or so I've heard): A-Rod: Ah! (looks out at Cornroyo while taking off pads) You tryin to hit me? Huh? Huh? f*** YOU f*** YOU f*** YOU. Cornroyo: (plays the role of the bigger man and just let's A-Rod take his prance to 1st base) V-Tek: (walks in front of A-Rod) We don't hit .200 batters. Get over it. BRAWL BRAWL BRAWL WOOT. A-Rod can go choke on the Big Unit. f*** him, and f*** the Yankees. And especially Sheffroids.
  5. Game over I presume? Great, Blue Jays are like the Orioles of last year when playing us...we just can't beat them.
  6. That, right there, my friends, is a cool fact. I never knew that hahahahahahah. Blowhorn sucks...go blow a horn f***er.
  7. And also, every team needs a Sheffield? Name one player on the WORLD CHAMPION Boston Red Sox team last year who plays like Sheff. ...No one needs a player like Sheff. You need a player like him who has the same talent, but not the mouth and all of that ******* he has him.
  8. Ok...Jesus. Yes, he shouldn't have GRAZED Sheffield, watch the tape man...Sheffield didn't get PUNCHED. He got GRAZED. The guy brushed his arm against his face. Seriously, I think Sheff has anger problems. I think Jack Nicholson needs to take a trip to Sheff's house. Sheffield went out of his way to shove the fan BEFORE HE THREW THE BALL BACK INTO THE INFIELD. I think we can draw from that action what he thought his priority was...trying to show his manliness over caring about his team, winning, and takes that fire and burns himself in the ass. f*** Sheff.
  9. I still can't see the game , I'm coming home on Tuesday though
  10. Kenny Rogers showed better restraint
  11. Tell him Boston would like to give him a big f*** YOU, YOU f***ING f***!
  12. Manny wouldn't dump that wife of his for YOU! Get over yourself. Damn Manny's wide is smokin, I lived in the same building as Manny for a period of time last year and I said hi to him and his wife everyday. She's like J-Lo with a hint of Lucy Liu (only for the Asian look). She's smoking hot.
  13. IMPRESSIVE! But he comes in the game to get outs...not let people get hits off of him in only 2/3 of an inning pitched. Oh well, at least he stopped letting runs up... ...what do I know? We're talking about ALAN EMBREE HERE. He got lucky tonight I guess.
  14. The velocity was never a problem, it's that he throws a lot of balls, like you said. We also saw Clement have trouble with his location at the beginning of the season, and look at what came out of him!
  15. He can get a rename . Hey dude, I'm on the Cape right now in Chatham on vacation. Love it down here Welcome to the site and enjoy your stay!!!
  16. Can we get OWNED written across that? I love seeing Sheffield being hot headed and restrained by his own team and the umpire not standing down. Sheffield...f*** off. I would love to see the Yanks be stuck with Sheffroids...that CHEATER...oh yeah, I went there. If they wanna trade him then it means they're not happy. I hope they can't get a deal and every team just gives them a huge f*** YOU.
  17. Foulke for Wagner? If not, Embree and Foulke for Wagner? I wouldn't mind seeing the latter
  18. Yeah...we did hella good against a below-average Orioles team last year
  19. May I also ask why Aaron Boone is your avatar when your name is Arod? And also, that picture is pointless...there's no more "1918" s*** and you didn't even win the whole goddamn thing that year. Bitch please.
  20. No personal attacks at anyone, I have respect for Yankee fans who know what they're talking about and know how to stay loyal to a team they like...but because of the rivalry, we are forced to hate each other. That's just how it goes. The shots we take at Yankee fans are the general public of them that have shoved dirt in our faces for the past 80 f***ing 6 years and now what do we get to say? "BLOW ME f***ER". I say it to Yankee fans like the one I saw in Martha's Vineyard last year (of course, they flock there because they have no balls to show up on the Massachusetts mainland, nevermind Boston) who are brain-dead about baseball and jumped on the Yankees bandwagon and yelled "1918" and "26 rings" and "When was the last time your team won the World Series?"...and are retarded enough to say, "WELL YOU LOST NOMAR," after I explained to their face, why, statistically and everything, Manny was a superior left fielder to Hideki Matsui , which I shouldn't have needed to explain as that's a no f***ing brainer. So again, if you aren't one of those fans, and be honest with yourself now, because I know most of the Yankees fans that exist don't think anything is wrong with them, then the comments aren't intended for you. You only think they are because when we say Yankee fans, you automatically assume we mean all of them when we actually mean the general public of them...and most of you are also oblivious to the fact that the general public of Yankee fans are brain-dead IDIOTS. Go to Yankee Stadium, and ask some fans if they can identify who the rookie that starts on the Yankees is. Then examine your data, assuming you know how to analyze it, and see how many got it correct. You may be surprised .
  21. Retired, and seeing Juan Pierre in a Sox uni . Just a younger and faster Damon. And there was also talk he may go into movies after his MLB career
  22. Mantei was a closer...use him. Or trade for someone like Fuentes who won't cost a lot. Better yet, trade Foulke for some nice set-up/mid-relief pitching. I don't like the idea of getting a complete new closer, we have Mantei, use him, and if he feels better in the set-up roll, then try someone out. Myers can get people out. Maybe we can trade Foulke and Embree in a package?? (Sorry Foulke, I know you're not THAT bad to be traded with Embree.) Thoughts? It's just that I personally would like not to cringe everytime I hear one of our pitchers from the bullpen (other than Timlin) is warming up. Go for solid players, and use the closer we already have in Mantei. Maybe Cornroyo can try out for the closer spot (reversal of D-Lowe) for f***s sake. But saying Tito must go? Sorry, I've had some issues with him too over his time here, but any manager that can get us a World Series title after all the heartaches IN HIS FIRST SEASON WITH THE TEAM has my respect and can f***ing stay the manager of the team. Have a nice day
  23. Well first of all...I REMEMBER YOU...unfortunately. jk jk...anyway, I don't know exactly how many people have "written off" the Yanks yet. I still think that they're more of a threat down the road because they simply have too much talent (yes, most of it is very old talent, note I said MOST, not all). I think it's going to be a very competitive race down to the wire, with the Sox winning the East because I just think the Sox are a better team. We've proven it last year and so far this year and I don't see it changing. For the AL East teams to make the playoffs, they will need to win the division. With each East team getting better and better (except for the Yankee-superior Devil Rays ), the more each team will beat another up. The wild card will NOT come out of the east. Period. And until I have solid evidence that none of what I said is true nor believable, I will stay with this mentality . EDIT: I do believe the Yankees will get a young centerfielder in Kotsay, but no team will accept Womack. If they are going to get a CF like Pierre or Kotsay, the Yanks have to know that Billy Beane is all about young home-grown talent, and the Marlins are probably pretty content with Castillo. They will have to trade away better players than Womack. On another note: I was listening to WEEI the other day and I was shocked and appalled when I heard a RED SOX fan say that we should trade Youk to the Yanks for Womack. Can you say "bandwaggoning dumbass who doesn't even know who Francona is?"
  24. I'm on the Cape and the family I'm with doesn't get NESN ...I heard Wells got ejected, which I'm guessing for arguing, so what's the deal here?
