  1. Heh...just try to catch up to me
  2. Youklover...I did the same thing in a thread and I can't remember where...I'll see if I can find it.
  3. I think you mean "do it AND die." If we don't do it we're not gunna die...
  4. Maybe it's a good thing I can't see the game... Would I be on the edge with my sanity? I was in his most recent home appearance against the Guardians...
  5. Papelbon I knew was outstanding and was gunna make it up... But I had heard very little about Sanchez. Looks like we got a player  Hopefully he can continue that success throughout the minors and make an impact on our big league team in the next few years.
  6. How did you learn about this site? I know there's a site that's basically our name backwards (soxtalk)...that how you became familiar here?
  7. Well, I can't really complain at who wins in the NYY/BAL series. We need a win tonight to expand our lead over the O's but also to keep the Yanks at bay. I guess down the road though we should root for the O's? :dunno: It's just that the Yanks salary...just...can't...suck...this much down the road. Oh yeah, also, even though the Yanks seem to be a bigger threat, or who knows if the O's are for real as they've been stumbling recently too, Shaughnessy thinks the Sox will win the division by 10. I think that's ludicrous and Yeszir should go leave a fart in his chair again on his next tour of The Fens
  8. Sorry, I'm not buying a ridiculously over-priced piece of competition/pressure.
  9. The CWS would be devastating to go up against if they acquired Schmidt. All they need to do is land another "ace" caliber/solid pitcher to only strengthen their incredible rotation. If they do land Schmidt, I have a feeling the CWS get a free ticket to the ALCS.
  10. Well, first off, happy 4th everyone, and this is the second to last series before the All-Star Break Tonight's match-up: http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/images/gameday/mugshots/150063.jpg#52 Wade Miller (2-2, 5.14) @ http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/images/gameday/mugshots/400156.jpg#30 Ricardo Rodriguez (2-1, 3.65) Should be an interesting game, no? I hope we see the good side of what we brought Wade to Boston for. He has an incredible amount of talent, but he does seem uncomfortable at times with his pitches/location, etc. I don't know too much about Ricardo Rodriguez so all I can hope for is that our offense picks up and lights him up like a Christmas tree (or Hanukkah menorah, or anything I forgot. Sorry )
  11. You, sir, just made me feel better. I'm having a s***** day, even if it is the 4th .
  12. And it will make it all the better if Wade gets a W tonight
  13. A Sox ALCS would be insane, awesome, and just...beautiful. Two teams that know what they're talking about and can talk about baseball intelligently. I know how hard it is over there in Chicago in the past years with the Cubs..but now all the talks on you . Also, White Sox fans are better than Cubs fans...I went to a game at Wrigley once...all most of their fans do is drink beer, curse, drink some more beer, curse, then get drunk and get kicked out of the stadium for getting out of control. White Sox fans know where their loyalty stands and are smart. I mean, you can tell because of the past years with the Cubs "success" (for lack of a better term), but W. Sox fans stayed with their team. Anyway, I wish Clement was an all-star, but you must be happy he's doing well in a R. Sox uni as opposed to a Cubs uni .
  14. "Wang plunks, baffles Tigers as Yanks take 2nd Straight"-----Oh WHAT AN ACCOMPLISHMENT! I guess everyone in NY is getting excited over their 2 GAME win streak
  15. Scott Podsednick....mmmm, he's a tank. I would love to see him in over that ******* Sheffroids. Will do Josh, and welcome to the site . Nice surprise your team brought you this year eh? Can't wait for the battle of the Sox's.
  16. Okay, think of it this way. Put the bad of Bellhorn on one side of a scale, and the good on the other. Which side weighs more?
  17. Thanks... http://www.frontiernet.net/~joe14580/captain%20obvious.jpg
  18. He sure knows how to slap when the pressure is on...especially on him.
  19. I've been saying that all along...maybe package Bellhorn, Foulke and Embree for a trade before the deadline?
  20. Whoa there...we're talking sports here. Let's not let this get personal. Seriously.
  21. What mosox said. And that's the bottom line of this discussion. Blowhorn for Cano anybody? LOL
  22. I knew it. First the Yanks fans said "It's only the end of April," then "It's only the end of May," and now GUESS WHAT? "It's only half way through the year!"
