    Are you f***ing serious? The Yankees got beat in 2001. That was not luck. That was good hitting by Gonzo, and the Yankees getting too happy, too early. Your other reasons are correct, as the Yankees did simply just get outplayed, as you said.

    Well, one of the baseball coaches at my school is a scout for the Mets. He said this has little to no truth to it. Then again, he's only a scout, but that's what he said. He also said that he heard a rumor with the Sox/O's again. The O's need pitching and would need a SS in return to trade us Tejada, and he said what was being thrown was Gonzalez and a top notch minor league pitcher from the Sox (most likely Lester) for Tejada. And yes, we keep Manny. I know we're giving up Lester, but the fact that we can keep Manny and get Tejada is thrilling. Well, we'll see. I don't know how solid the info coming from a scout is, but that's what he said was being thrown around. Thoughts?

    No, BC MADE Duke not look good. BC actually just played better than Duke at some moments. BC is a damn good team, and proved it tonight. The fact that they were able to make it this close at the end without Craig Smith or Sean Marshall says a shitload. BC is a fantastic basketall team, and will give any team in the NCAA a run for its money. The transition from Big East to ACC has sunk in, and BC is here to make noise.

    Apparently not. I doubt this is actually a true trade proposal. We're giving up Clement and Cora for Milledge and Nady in return basically. I just don't see how this could be true.

    We are more sure of how Riske will do at this point than Mota. I'm not willing to gamble with Mota's injury and his failed physical. Riske is a good replacement no matter how you look at it.

    Exactly. I was feeling like s*** for awhile too, especially with that huge crater we had in CF, but now it's filled with Coco, and Johnny's gone. What are you gunna do about it? Nothing. He's a Yankee now. Boo him, cheer him, do whatever you want, the point is no matter what Johnny said, baseball is a business, and for another 12 million, you would probably go as well. That's the bottom line. Thank Johnny for the WS, then choose to cheer or boo him, whichever you want, but bitching about it won't help.
