Um, actually, do you even remember the extent of the injury? Dude, he played through a f***ing misplaced tendon wrapping around his ankle and terribly out of place. Why should we disregard last year? Well, for one, he came back prematurely. Second, he came back in the BULLPEN. That's not exactly what he was accustomed to before. He basically gave his ankle a light year back on the mound, a chance for it to fully heal, and now he's ready. If he gets killed this year, yes, there's no excuse. But good lord man, how can you take last year for Schilling and start bashing him because of it? The man won the Red Sox a f***ing world series on one leg the year before.
And also, if we can't say that the Yankees' rotation will suffer injury and not do as well as we think, you can't say s*** about Schilling.
