    I agree with what's been reported in that with the money they have received, they'll probably re-sign Tevez and replace Ronaldo with Ribery from Bayern. Van Nistelrooy up front doesn't make Tevez a pressing need for Madrid, and after having spent ~$228M in transfer fees alone (never mind what they will be paying when the salaries are finalized), I don't see Tevez going anywhere. With Ronaldo gone, Rooney can have more of a central scoring role on the team and if he gets more time with the ball with Tevez out there, it's still a force.

    If I really put my own beliefs before those of others, I'm pretty sure I would have either replaced it with something that supports my point of view instead of simply closing the thread and leaving it at that. Yeah dude, because it's not like we reserve the right to watch over racist/inflammatory s*** that gets posted on the site. Listen, needledick - free speech is the most misunderstood concept of all time. You don't get it here like you get it in the street because we make our own rules. If you post something that will only cause negative energy, then it's gone. Get it? Good. Find another message board to post that s***. Exhibit A: Don't believe everything you read on the internet; especially from someone with an agenda.

    f*** FSU. I'm glad they lost. UVA was probably the nicest school I had ever seen when I went to visit it during college trips I made a couple of years ago. I root for UVA every now and then for that and because I fell in love with the school when I saw it.

    Has the potential to be quite the addition to what has been a shaky rotation at times. With Lester and Beckett seeming to come into their own and Wakefield and Penny holding down their spots to an extent, Dice K has to prove he doesn't belong on an extended DL stint. I would obviously see Smoltz replacing Penny, as I think moving Penny to the bullpen could be where he's most effective (since he can throw 3 to 4 innings right away as well as anyone at times). Either way, Smoltz's addition only adds to the considerable amount of depth the Red Sox have. Can't wait for him to return. I'm not expecting the John Smoltz that we've come to know over the dominant years he has had obviously, but I do think he can contribute quite a bit of success to this club.

    The reason I say that is because not only will we be missing Lowell's or Youk's bat because of Ortiz, the massive downgrade defensively at 1B is also an issue. The only reason he even played 1B during interleague was because we wanted the bat in the lineup. Now? Not so much.
