  1. 2080 World Series Champions I believe I spoke with you on AIM one time. Welcome.
  2. This is such a dead debate now. It's so dumb.
  3. I promise I'm not "pudge."
  4. I bet he could make a semi-interesting Aflack commercial :dunno:
  5. You're not the only team that's gotten screwed at second base. That much I know.
  6. Stop. Or I will temporarily ban you. You're playing with fire and it's going to go off in your face soon. You don't think the f***ing mods have checked to see that it's not the same person? Sure, they act alike, maybe they are the same, but there's NOTHING through IP address matches or anything of the like to suggest that they are. He's still here for a reason. If we thought he was the same person he would have been gone long ago. You are very good at provoking people. This stops now.
  7. It was a bad angle and I can see how the ump may have thought that Uribe's tag pushed A-Rod's lead leg out of the way before it got to the bag. Anyway, A-Rod's getting hot again...as is the entire Yankee lineup.
  8. BoSox, seriously, enough. This is getting ridiculous. Stop spilling your beef into other threads. As far as the music goes, I'm not sure. I'll leave that up to yeszir because I don't know what he'd say.
  9. We haven't brawled because I can respectfully and calmly disagree with people Respectfully and calmly being the key words there. It's complete stupidity that gets me fired up. As much as I may disagree with you at points, you're not stupid. Nomah'sHammSammich has been known to overreact quite a bit on this board...so I'm not going to get all pissed yet. But JESUS CHRIST, IT'S BEEN TWO MONTHS. Start worrying if he's still sucking in September...hell, I'll even give the new guys the whole year to get it figured out. If they come back next year sucking some major cock, then I'll start showing my irritation with them. But holy hell, if a 100-win season hit some of these people in the face (I'm looking at you NHS), they would still find something wrong with it. It's absolutely amazing. Despite him not performing to the level we'd like him to, Drew is still getting on base about 30ish points above average. It's not great, but it's a start. Let's not forget that he did actually go balls to the wall and took a NASTY spill into the RF wall. I don't care how fragile you are, something like that will mess your body up for awhile. You'll see me getting on players AFTER I give them some time. Jesus, we still have the best record in baseball despite losing 5 of the last 6, and some people are still finding things to bitch about. Just sit back and enjoy the ride. Teams have slumps, we've known that because we're Red Sox fans. And now that we finally have a team that we can be extremely proud of during the first 2 months of the season, so many of us have become spoiled. So, on behalf of the rational fans of Red Sox Nation: CHILL THE f*** OUT.
  10. If someone hoped for a Cy Young year from Dice-K they were horribly mistaken. That said, I really believe he will be a top-notch starter next year and in those following for a few reasons. However, right now, he is a slightly above average pitcher (even though I hate tagging judgments based on 1/3 of the first season in the bigs). We've seen what he's capable with outings like those against the Tigers, but we've also seen that he has a lot to work on (see: Toronto Blue Jays outing in 4th inning). The thing with Matsuzaka is that he has 5 or so known (I say known because no one really knows how many pitches he has other than Dice-K himself) pitches other than his fastball. That's kind of crazy. In addition, he said himself that the MLB ball is a bit slicker than the Japanese league ball, so he's going to need to get accustomed to it...given some time he'll get that grip down and throw some pitches that we probably haven't seen yet (i.e. that nasty pitch that we've seen in his videos that just drops right off the table...completely unhittable). We haven't seen this pitch yet..which brings me to my next point/question. Do you think he's hiding this pitch because he doesn't have complete control over the ball yet? It wouldn't surprise me if he wanted to keep a pitch or two to himself until he gets complete control of the ball... SchillingIsTheNatural brought this question up awhile back and I wanted to bring it back up for discussion's sake.

  15. I agree that it is overly strict. Gom, just please don't tell me Lowell's play with Cano was dirty and that he should be beaned in the head for it (like Jacko thinks). It was heads-up and the right play to make.
  16. Haven't the D-Backs been on absolute fire though? BTW, jacko, that RJ game will be JT vs. RJ. They changed the rotation a bit, remember?
  17. Okay, you know what? I'm changing my attitude. I'm sure that none of us are as pissed as the players themselves about what's been happening. Hopefully this game ends on schedule, and they can go back to the hotel and get some normal sleep for once. Come back tomorrow meaning business. If they win tonight, that's an extra boost.
  18. What the f***. I've officially seen it all. I can't stand this team right now. I just can't.
  19. Daisuke pitched an 18 inning complete game in high school, then pitched out of the bullpen the next day. If his arm can take that in HIGH SCHOOL, I think his arm can handle 128 pitches tonight.
  20. Lead runner on. PLEASE TIE THE GAME RIGHT HERE PAPI.
  21. Let me guess. The only thing you remember from his most recent outing against Texas is that he sucked and you completely disregard the fact that he pitched through the stomach flu. Right? Did he not show you guts then?
