  1. I'm absolutely looking forward to Paps. Unlike last time, he pitched recently and in that outing he shook off the rust and dominated Thome and Konerko. I happen to think he'll be money this time around.
  2. I love this team. Paps for the ninth. Some insurance would be nice though.
  3. Alrighty. Even though he's thrown a shutout, Matsuzaka has been hit pretty hard at times tonight. Oh well. I'll take it. Okajima then Papelbon to hold the 1-run lead? Yes please. Insurance would be nice though.
  4. Sabathia is giving Drew absolute fits.
  5. It's partly my fault because I claimed rights to the thread, but I never got around to my computer until after Kilo had started it.
  6. Matsuzaka is getting spanked. Looooooooooooooooooooong outs.
  7. I still haven't heard anything. It's gotta be bogus.
  8. If you can get Teixeira, you have to make the move. Youkilis + Bowden or Lester + Moss is what I'd offer first. It could possibly get the job done. Keep in mind that the Rangers are the one team that you try to screw out of a deal. If it really came down to it for Teixeira, I'd give up Youk + Lester + Ellsbury and get Teixeira in a Boston uniform. You have to do it - especially if you can lock up Teixeira long-term as a condition of the trade.
  9. Uh, what? Before you post something like this, you need a more reliable source. And if he collapsed, it doesn't mean he died. I'll go searching through websites for this. All that said, if this is true... it'll hurt really badly. EDIT: I just wanted to change the title of the thread so no one has a heart attack when they read it.
  10. Yes, yes he does. Coco batting 5th is the weirdest thing I've ever seen.
  11. I still don't think he's the answer, but he looked alright last night. He was wild but stayed effective. His location was completely lost at points.
  12. Now that the Sox have won game one of the series, are you sure you wouldn't like to see a sweep of the Guardians (assuming you sweep the Royals)?
  13. Damn straight, bitches.
  14. Sox win! MDC is a f***ing beast, and great to see Lester get the W!
  15. Good points on both accounts. Something in me still says that Buehrle's available depsite the contract extension (the White Sox didn't want to give him a no-trade clause and an extension was the first step towards a deal). If Buehrle is truly unavailable, then I agree with you in that Schilling is probably the best realistic option we have. Now that I think about it, you're probably right about the 4th OF being the highest priority. Hinske is a nice lefty with some pop in the bat to have off the bench, but he's probably a 5th OF for us. WMP needs to start if he's going to be effective consistently. Considering that he won't get enough at bats here to be that contributer, he's gotta go. He'll be a tremendous contributing power bat for a team some day, but not for us. Any ideas on who the 4th OF could be?
  16. I'm sorry, as good as Okajima and Matsuzaka have been, Pedroia is undoubtedly my rookie of the year. He's a f***ing animal. 6-2.
  17. We haven't seen one like this in some time. It's foreign to me yet refreshing at the same time.
  18. Eh, I still think they should throw Paps today and rest him tomorrow. It seems like he hasn't pitched at all recently. He had to work out some kinks yesterday, so let him get a chance to pitch a good ninth today.
  19. Uh, Papelbon should be warming up. Not Okajima. Papelbon can go back-to-back days, especially when he basically hasn't been pitching at all since the all-star break. Not that I'm uncomfortable with Okajima closing out the game, but Papelbon should be closing the game IMO. Now, they could just be warming Okajima up in case Delcarmen implodes also... And Delcarmen bounces back to get the K after a shaky outing yesterday to get the K. God we have some damn good relievers this year (even Timlin has been lights out lately): Lopez Timlin Delcarmen Donnelly (he was pretty reliable when he was given the ball) Okajima Papelbon
  20. They all suck and give me a headache.
