    Oh. Well then, if the Sox can get a Teixeira in return for him and Youk in the same package, I think you have to consider it. But you only trade for Teixeira if you make an extension a condition of the deal, because there's no way you give up that much if Teixeira is intent on testing free agency after '08. Anyway, our rotation will be in damn good shape if Lester pitches like a #2 when he's actually the #4.

    Only for a bench player probably. Besides, if we land Teixeira we upgrade our team. Why wouldn't you want to do that? Chemistry gets you as far as the first pitch of the next game.

    Thank you. He's pitched pretty damn well up until this inning. I don't think one bad inning is going to kill his value. Sure, it was ugly, but wasn't he due for a pretty bad outing sooner rather than later? Nice job Tavarez.

    He did the right thing. Leave him in there to try to figure it out with a huge lead. He was gone after Hafner no matter what. He didn't sack up, and he hit him on the first pitch. That was one of the ugliest things I've ever seen out of a pitcher who's riding a hot streak.
