In the two games we lost we dug ourselves into too deep of a hole too early I guess you could say. Just came up short.

I understand what you are thinking, but the foreign players have so much talent and potential and are so raw that they just need a chance to develop. Im very high on this Fernandez kid. If he can put it together he can be a star. The Celtics would much rather take a chance on someone who has a lot of talent but is still raw rather than wasting a roster spot on a guy who might be a waste of a roster spot for a few years.

I read today in the paper that Danny Ainge is exploring the possibilities of picking a European guy in the first round and leaving him over-seas while still retaining the rights to him so they could keep a roster spot open. Im hoping that if we do go that route we choose 6'5 PG/SG Rudy Fernandez out of Spain. He has got a lot of promise and potential should we pick him. He also said that he would also explore his options of trading away this pick for a future pick and another player. Either way, it sounds like he wants to improve this team more during free agency this offseason than any other way.

Who else but Keith Foulke pitches a scoreless ninth for the save. Like I said in another thread, all he needed was a little confidence. I now have confidence in Tito bringing him in again.

Manny shouldnt be worried about at all. Yeah, his average is down, but his homeruns and RBIs are still right there with the rest of the MLB. I wouldnt doubt the fact that all the times hes been hit has somethign to do with his average, and confidence standing as close to the plate as he does.

Back to the topic... the way Damon has been hitting the ball is pretty amazing. He is sure showing that he is capable of making the big bucks next year, hopefully with us. I cant imagine next years team without Johnny.

Even though we lost, I found really a lot of good out of this game. 1) Had anyone else been pitching, we would have won. 2) Our offense is finally clicking, everyone is hitting (Johnnys hit-streak is 18, by the way) 3) Foulke pitched a scoreless inning. Thats exactly what Tito needs to do. Get him in during non-pressure situations and let him get in a rhythm and get some confidence. I've noticed when hes been pitching he hasnt had that same... swagger (?) I guess you could call it. Hes hasnt really been showing any confidence at all.

No, only because Gonzalez is pitching. Yeah, hes done better than expected, but you just never know with him...

Pretty gay. I didnt get home tonight till 8. I got to watch the beginning of the game in school though online.

I play tennis on the high school team. Im pretty good, but the first week outside I couldnt adjust and I played horribly. I am one of the better players on the team, but since I played bad in the beginning Im pretty much stuck on JV for the year. I wont be able to play singles probably till senior year because weve got 3 awesome singles players, a frehsman sopohomore and junior. So yeah... ive just gotta wait for my opportunity.

Dont forget guys, Wells had a 15 inning scoreless streak earlier this season...
