  1. He's no longer on the DL, so I think soon.
  2. Remember there is 79 more games to go.
  3. The Sox should add Tony Armas Jr, and John Olereud (can't spell his name).
  4. Olreud is hitting .255 with 5 homeruns. I'll bet he would benfiet from hitting at Fenway, he is a lefty I think? McCarty can't hit at all, Millar doesn't even know what an RBI is.
  5. Both are inconsistent, Sox need 2 out of 3 here.
  6. I think the Red Sox should go get John Olerud and bench Kevin Millar. Well maybe he could spell Nixon aganist lefties.
  7. Lowe is likely to be moved to the bullpen as soon as Kim gets back.
  8. Where do you put Ortiz then?
  9. The cap could be set at 100 million dollars. Players with the salaries of Manny, A Rod, and Giambi are too damn much. In the NFL the highest paid player makes 11 million dollars (McNabb.) The point i'm trying to make is, parity is awesome. I like to watch a football game and not be able to know who's going to win. In baseball, you know a team like the Yankees will always make the playoffs. I hate that, I think its time the small market teams started to be able to win.
  10. Bellhorn shouldn't even be in the lineup, he strikes out to much, and doesn't have the speed to score. This OBP is way overrated. It doesn't matter if Ortiz is has a 400+ OBP, he isn't fast enough to score. Bellhorn can't do anything besides walk, at least Youkillis can hit the ball. Pokey is great at defense, but the man can't hit the broad side of a barn. Mueller has played at 2nd before and wouldn't be too bad there.
  11. Rememeber that lineup last year, that would never stop scoring? Why don't we model it like that? 1. Damon CF 2. Youkillis 3B 3. Garciaparra SS 4. Ramriez LF 5. Ortiz DH 6. Millar 1B 7. Nixon RF 8. Mueller 2B 9. Vartiek C
  12. Maybe a move to the bullpen?
  13. I wouldn't excatly give up hope, in the east yet. If the Sox can backhand the yankees like they did it in april we can slowly claw our ways back into the race. Derek Lowe should be moved to the bullpen, immediatly, I think he would be very good there. After that trade for a pitcher, someone like the Mariners Jamie Moyer, the Expos Tony Armas Jr/ or Livan Hernadez, or the Pirates Benson/Fogg or Wells.
  14. This would be the greatest thing to ever happen to baseball. What do you guys think?
  15. Who gives a s*** about the farm system, when you could have Randy Johnson. I would send Youkillis, Shoppach, H. Ramirez, and Alverez for the big unit. Why? Because pitching will always win in October. End the drought, NOW!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. Brandon Moss Age: 20 Born: September 16, 1983 Monroe, GA Height: 6-0 Weight: 180 Bats: Left Throws: Right Drafted: 8th Round, 2002 How Acquired: Draft High School: Loganville HS ETA: 2008 Scouting Report: Athletic Outfielder with a good arm. He didn't show much at the plate in his first two professional seasons, but put in a good amount of work in the off-season prior to 2004, which has shown early on. 348 .416 .516 B South Atlantic League All-Star Game MVP
  17. Wakefield dominates the Yankees though, in 2003 the yankees batted a measly .217. If you minus the Boone homerun, Wakefield held the Yankee batters to a .163 batting average in the ALCS. This year Wakefield beat the Yankees with a damn good showing at Fenway. I wouldn't call that a draw, because Lieber is a whole lot worse then Wakefield is.
  18. I'll do Brandon Moss, he's hitting .346 in Augusta right now.
  19. Then the Red Sox will easily win the world series.
  20. Wow! Can you believe a team like the Devil Rays are running out a 10 game winning streak?
  21. Plus he's great for team chemistry
  22. I have to disagree that he is useless his stats aren't too bad 2004 Boston Red Sox 41 156 16 41 9 0 2 13 56 16 28 0 1 .343 .359 .263 Wait till Nomar and Nixon get back, then he will be better.
  23. Can Lowe get back on track? Let's hope so, he's got a record of 1-2 with a ERA of 7.02 at Fenway Park. He dominated fenway last year, I hope he can turn it around tonight. GO SOX!
  24. He could be a usable player off the bench, for the remainder of the year, plus he would come cheap. What are your thoughts?
  25. Major League with Bob Ueker is awesome!
