    I think that the RJ trade not happening will benfiet the Yankees down the road, Cano is a good player, and so is Navarro. Memo to the Yankees: SLOW DOWN!!!!!!!!! They horribly mismangement their farm system.

    Pats looked awful in the preseason though, looks like that target on your back is getting bigger. I think on any given sunday, any team can beat the other one, that's the great thing about football.

    Think of it like a domino board, Gene Micheal being fired was the first domino, then Steinbrenner being allowed back into the Yankee clubhouse, was the second domino. The defeat of the 2001 Yankees was the third, then came the destruction of a farm system that Micheal built. The 2004 defeat of the Yankees sometime in the ALDS to the Twins or the ALCS by the Red Sox, will complete the collapse of the dynasty.

    I agree with schilling, there is no curse. Francona looked pretty good with the bullpen last night you gotta say. It's one game but, I'll take it!

    I don't think the Jets could qualify for the AL East . jk, the Jets have realistic shot, because fins are going to suck, and the Bills are always iffy

    Steinbrenner was kept under wraps by the Yankees until that Novemeber night in the desert. Now he rules with an iron fist, and his incredibly dumb moves will hurt the Yankees down the road. Read the last night of the Yankee Dynasty it's pretty good.

    They sat in Tampa, to make sure their families were safe. Why should the Yankees get a free game? It was a category 4 storm Friday night, and it was barreling down on Tampa. No way in hell do you leave under these circumstances.

    Vartiek is one i :shrug: who else though. 1 HR every 17 at bats. Pretty good ratio. His K rate was too high, must improve. Vartiek going to get an extenstion though because of the way he's played of late.

    I'd promote him to Portland, then to Pawtucket 3/4 through next season. If he shows he can hit, he can take over for Millar in '06. Long time from now though

    Arroyo needs to throw strikes, no need to throw balls against the "Moneyball" because they'll just watch it for balls. Get ahead of the Oakland hitters, because this team doesn't strike out that much. Especially HATTEBERG :thumbdown: , damn that guy is a pest. I wonder if Swisher's going to start, he's really good with the bat too. My prediction tonight is a Red Sox victory, Ortiz is going to hit 2 HR's both of Zito, and Ramriez is going to add one too.
