  1. Another tidbit Alan Zinter hit a single in his first abat. Is he a star? What is your point, he had a hit in an abat, don't they all?
  2. Youkillis homered in his first abat beat that!
  3. AA Royals 12 Yankees 3
  4. Here els, you seem to be in love with math Boston Red Sox Notes DH David Ortiz missed Sunday's game with shoulder soreness, but he should be back in the lineup on Tuesday … OF Trot Nixon (quad) was activated from the DL in time to start Sunday. He'll play regularly against right-handers down the stretch … OF/DH Ellis Burks (knee) should be activated from the DL on Friday … 1B Doug Mientkiewicz is day-to-day with the flu … 1B Earl Snyder has been designated for assignment … According to Baseball Prospectus, the Red Sox have a 98.8 percent chance of making the post-season.
  5. Batters hit .303 of Lieber, and Lowe has been great in the second half, your giving the edge to the Yankees, why?
  6. Oakland has 7 games with the Rangers and 6 games with the Angels, now do you actually expect the Rangers to get swept, twice? The Angels and A's will fight for the west, the one that doesn't goes home.
  7. It's mathematically possible for the O's to catch up, do you believe it? You have no faith in this team, do you?
  8. What excatly does Navarro do? He can't play defense, and can't hit. The Yankee farm system has nothing in it. They have no pitching at all.
  9. Ok he's fast. Wait so is Randy Moss, does that make him a good baseball player? NO! Cano can't do anything good.
  10. Don't try me in football, boy. I'll own you
  11. The Cowboys finished first in defense last year, so they have a good defense. The Patriots defense won in 2001 20-17 isn't an offensive game. I believe Ty Law took one back, and so did McGanist so the defense won the championship. Brady isn't the best QB in the league, Culpepper is faster by a lot, he has more arm strength, and better accuracy. Brady is just on a loaded team, he's a good QB, not a great one.
  12. He doesn't hit, and he isn't fast. He and Navaro are considered psuedo-prospects meaning their not that good, just overrated.
  13. Culpepper is the best QB in the league. 5 TD's, wow! I give those wins to the defense both super bowls, one they shouldn't of won, Brady fumbled.
  14. Texas isn't a bad team! Halsey pitches for the Yankees tonight, so not at all guarented. Anaheim lost games to the Blue Jays, not all games are so simple. Kazmir is a prospect, not an ace. I think people are too quick to project stardom
  15. oops, I thought we had a game today, must not be thinking. Sorry
  16. Pythagorean Standings: Boston Leads Yanks by 9.5 Games http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/neyer/index Look at the bottom of the page for the Pythagorean standings, Boston has a 88-54 record, NY has a 79-64 record. The Pythagorean formula was developed by Bill James and is based upon runs scored VS allowed. The result can show which teams are a little lucky in winning a lot of close games and which teams are unlucky. Granted it is not all luck as the Yankees have Rivera in the bullppen which helps them win close games. Still there is such a major discrepancy here that one cannot help but wonder if the talent level on the two teams actually favors Boston in 2004. And that this difference might come into play in the post season, should the two teams meet. The Yankees actual W-L record is 11 games better than their runs scored VS given up would indicate. This is the biggest discrepancy in the major leagues. Wild huh?
  17. BOS Pedro Martinez 16-5 3.44 TB Scott Kazmir 1-1 5.62 Hmm, a Devil Ray rookie, or the Red Sox ace? Not to hard to predict, the Sox offense comes out of the mini slump.
  18. The A's and Angels have 6 games left with each other, so either of them getting the Wild Card, is doubtful.
  19. And he'll be a great 2nd baseman!
  20. I think his quote was "Mystique, Aura aren't those the dancers at the night club?"
  21. With 6 games left against the A's the Angels can't get the Wild Card. They'll either knock the A's out of first, or stay away in both races.
  22. Oakland has one of the worst bullpen's in the AL.
  23. I know it sounds like hearsay, but should we trade him? We got two caple outfielders in Roberts, and Kapler. I think that trading him for a good pitcher in the offseason might help us out. But then again Nixon is a great offensive player.
  24. 13 TD'S 12 INT'S don't cut it as great. Bias opinion is all you have. Brady knows the offense so that makes him a great MVP? I'd hope he would. Whoever said being the best means being clutch, you're being a hypocrite, what about Jeter? Does that make him the best player?
