  2. In order! Talk Radio Bad acting in a good movie Meetings People Reality TV/Netsports As far as the Sox Lowe Kim Francona Yankees Bellhorn, K-man, ass-monkey :damon:
  3. The playoffs are his last shot with me, so no bandwagon here. He's earned that much - but the contract should be pretty clear after this year's playoffs...
  4. Wow. I came on to bitch, but you guys covered it all for me. Nice timing for Pedro to have the worst pitching stretch of.... HIS LIFE. Great. Who wanted to pay this guy 14-15 million again?
  5. Was that ever in doubt?
  6. The last 3 game line on Lowe: 8 1/3 innings, 22 hits, 17 runs - 15 earned, 6 walks.
  7. Funny, I was just thinking that same thing watching last night's game. I think it's one of these. http://shop.mlb.com/product/index.jsp?prod....1452683.707976
  8. If Lowe sucks again tonight, I'd leave him off and move Mendoza to the long relief roll. As it stands right now, I have zero faith that Lowe can help the team in the postseason.
  9. Please elaborate??? I don't get NESN out here in the woods. What did Kev and Petey say?
  10. Yeah. Terrible umping... I hate Kazmir being so good against us, but I love watching him pitch. The umps went too far.
  11. Arroyo finally gets to 10 wins.
  12. Billy Mueller - Yankee killer. It rhymes too!
  13. I read today that in his bullpen session, he needed a catcher to catch the throws back from his catcher after a pitch .
  14. Sox win the season series. I think our playoff situation isn't that bad at all. Schilling hasn't even pitched in NY yet... Still mad about last night
  15. You are correct. My bad. Oh well... Already watched A New Hope and Empire Strikes Back today on shiny new DVD. I guess I'll finish off with Return of the Jedi.. Sox up 6-5. The Empire is going down one way or the other! Tek double, Sox up 8-5. This just makes me more sick about last night . BTW, the Star Wars DVD set is totally worth it. Everything about it is better. I was blown away by The Empire Strikes Back - the best of all the Star Wars movies.
  16. http://www.nbc.com/Saturday_Night_Live/index.html Supposed to be Ben Affleck and Nelly...
  17. Ehh. Lay off Foulke. BTW - According to NBC.com, Ben Affleck is the host of SNL tonight in an all new episode. Is it the season premier? Anyway, there's good to be at least one Red Sox fan skit to be had. I don't mind the guy so I'll probably watch. Just an FYI.
  18. Bellhorn's still in there...
  19. With Francona gone, we may actually win  What an ass - trying to get thrown out of the game. Yeah, that will make the fans forgive him
  20. I think some of the blame has to come down on Management. I mean, Theo and the others apparently think with the amount of payroll and tallent, that this team can win regardless of who's managing. They pick inexperienced candidates for manager (Grady) or guys who'll help them sway a free agent to come to Boston (Francona). Who did they interview last year to replace Grady? Glenn Hoffman?? Some bench guy from Seattle? Anyway, they obviously don't think a quality manager is as important to have as a guy who can protect his players and deal with the Boston media. Of course, there is some truth to that logic - especially in the regular season. The Sox will have won 190 games over the 2003 and 2004 regular season. But come playoff time - and short series, managing becomes a much bigger aspect of the game. I just don't get what they are thinking. You can win with a flawed pitching staff, flawed offense or a flawed bullpen if they are managed correctly. But you can have all the pieces in the world and it will do you no good if they are managed poorly.
  21. I was totally surprised Pedro came out for the 8th. Question: If you save your bullpen for the Yankees series (by losing a game), why not use it? Francona needs to get his head out of his ass. Grady part 2.
  22. According to Remy, Pedro threw a side session on Wednesday - something I don't think he normally does.. Hopefully he'll start off with a little more velocity than last time.
  23. That's pretty funny... But I wouldn't go tossing Wake on the fire just yet. Yeah, he's unreliable right now, but he's had a history of ups and downs. Right now he's down but he'll come back up. We all know that. If you want to tie someone to Lowe, make it Ding Dong Wang.
