  1. This reminds me of that game Crimson Room. Don't ask why.
  2. All y'all are pretty cocky.
  3. Jose Valentin is 35. He has decent power numbers and stuff, but he's a pretty bad fielder, doesn't hit for average, and strikes out more than Bellhorn. Really, I'd rather see someone like Larkin, who is a pretty good fielder and can hit for contact than a free-swinger like Valentin.
  4. Simmons is the man. And how can you not poke fun at Sveum?
  5. Woo! According to what news service?
  6. I'm getting it as soon as I get back to Boston. I'm in Queens, NY right now.
  7. I'm more inclined to believe ESPN than an anonymous dirt dogs source.
  8. Meanwhile, does anyone have the DVD yet?
  9. Good to know...
  10. Good luck to Kapler. Hope he doesn't move out of his house around here, even though he's obviously going to.
  11. That's the state of sports in America today.
  12. ESPN (Jayson Stark) says that Pedro's just using the Yankees for leverage on teh Sox, and the Yankees are using Pedro for leverage to get the Diamondbacks to trade them RJ.
  13. I'd happily take Hudson in the Sox rotation. Anyone who wouldn't needs to get their head checked.
  14. Well, not like it matters now.
  15. I have to agree the Bonds didn't deserve the MVP. He put up monster walk numbers, but the facts are that the Giants weren't that great a team. Pujols would have been my pick, because he helped the Cardinals win, moreso than Bonds with the Giants.
  16. *this part kinda crossed the line dude * Love, Yeszir Uh, not that I would know or anything.
  17. Maybe he can hire a 3B coach-coach
  18. Actually, RP Doug Brocail was the first FA to officially sign (with the Rangers, on 11/12). But Vizquel is the first that anyone actually gives a s*** about.
  19. Lieber's been around for a while, but he only had his breakout season a couple years ago, so I guess that's why people thought he was younger. I wouldn't want him, at least not at the price he's probably going to ask for. He's a #4 starter at best.
  20. I think Tek would happily resign for a slight discount, but Boras is being a douche. The best possible thing would be for Tek to fire Boras and sign for cheaper, but we all know that won't happen. ESPN, besides Gammons, still thinks both Tek and Pedro are going to sign with the Sox (see http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?p...50mlbfreeagents ), but yeah. Who knows. All I know is that Youk + Doug is way to much for a purely defensive catcher.
  21. Glaus is like a ming vase: looks great, but is really fragile and really expensive. I don't doubt that, if he could stay healthy, he'd be worth every penny, but I'm not sure he'll manage to stay ont eh roster for a whole season.
  22. I'd love to have Traber, don't get me wrong. Rarely to TJ surgeries fail, and tehre's no reason to think this one will either. The guy's only 25, so if he does recover fully, the Sox might have him for a long time.
  23. Millar just pisses me off. Sure, he may have come up with a few clutch hits, but he's always trying to be the center of attention. And he sucks at defense.
  24. It's more like, you guys suck at life. Not at baseball.
  25. The reason he was released is becasue he recently underwent Tommy John surgery. It's anyone's guess as to whether he can perform again at his previous level. But I think it's worth the $20,000 waiver fee to give him a shot.
