  1. Thank God for the Ban tool.
  2. Silly Yankees fans.
  3. I moved it. Sorry, should have left a note.
  4. Oh, it's not that you're Yankees fans. It's just that you're typical Yankees fans: arrogant, smug, and making all sorts of statements plainly calculated to annoy everyone else on the board.
  5. Last year was Ryan's first good year. He's inconsistent as all hell, so I imagine the O's wanted a sure thing. Anyways, it can't hurt to have two good lefties.
  6. Then don't say things like they're Holy Writ until it's definite.
  7. Good signing for the O's. Kline is a quality lefty reliever, and the injury he suffered last year probably won't have much of an effect on his ability to pitch this year.
  8. Although it would give the Dodgers more flexibility to dump Green's salary, the deal just doesn't make sense for them to do. All they're really doing is trading Penny for Vazquez, which is a terrible move, since Penny is younger, cheaper, and, some would argue better. Then they're giving up Ishii, who is a respectable lefty, and Green, who is still a pretty good bat, for a reliever, which they don't need, and the two best Yankees prospects, who are frankly pretty bad. And most of the cap room they save on Green goes right out the window, since Vazquez is getting payed a pretty good chunk. Basically, I just repeated elsrbueno, but maybe you'llfinally get it after a bit of repetion. This isn't about not wanting the Yankees to get Randy; this is about the trade making absolutely no sense for the Dodgers to make. As I've said before, don't make unfounded statements without anything to back you up. In case you can't understand that... SHUT UP.
  9. Yep.
  10. old news
  11. I think the Mets will have a very good rotation this year, especially if Benson can finally get his s*** together. They don't have a money-in-the-bank pitcher at the top, but they are solid all the way through. Having two pretty good pitchers, Zambrano and Trachsel, at the end is a luxury most teams don't have.
  12. I think everyone agrees that Sheets is a better pitcher right now, and will have a better career overall than Pavano. He has tremendous stuff, which would have translated to even better numbers if he was on a better team where he didn't have to basicaly do everything. Pavano is good, and I wish the Sox had picked him up, but he's a little older, and just doesn't have Sheets' talent, plain and simple.
  13. So are you saying the Sox couldn't have beaten the Twins?
  14. Hey, thanks!
  15. Again, thing about Brown, though, is neither of those teams are willing to take his salary. The Braves will need the Yankees to pay almost all of it, and the Padres will likely be close to the same story.
  16. Not all the Yankees fans on here are annoying. Some (like that guy above me) do contribute, and don't go out of their way to piss everyone else off. Of course, you still suck, but I at least am glad to have you.
  17. I'd much rather have Beltran over Edmonds. He's shown he can pump out the clutch hits, and has all the tools you could possibly want. I'm not saying he's anywhere near as good, but he's the modern-day equivalent of Willie Mays, in terms of the fielding, speed, power, and contact he offers.
  18. I'm inclined to believe that it would be Arroyo in the 'pen. Lilly is a proven starter, and Wakefield deserves to start. Arroyo showed flashed of brilliance last year, but he hasn't shown yet that he can be a consistent starter OVER AN ENTIRE SEASON.
  19. They don't NEED one, but it couldn't hurt.
  20. OK, I just got pwn3d by Zenny.
  21. No, yankeesin05, you're actually a productive member of the board. Without a few reasonable Yankees fans here, things would be a lot more boring. We're glad to have you, despite your unfortunate choice in allegiences.
  22. You've come up with no stats or anything to back up your assertions. All I've seen from you is a post talking about how another user needs to use tweezers to take a piss. Until you can prove what you're talking about, no one is going to regard what you have to say as anything more than idle, typical Yankee fan ********.
  23. Children, keep it civilized, please. No 4th grade insults.
  24. Beltran is one of the few genuine 5-tool players in the majors. Anyone with any doubt of that can just lok at his performance in the playoffs last year.
  25. I'm sorry, but I really can't see what Beane was thinking here. Haren is young and OK, as is Colero, but the catcher is a no-name guy, and Mulder is worth significantly more in my eyes. There's no way he IS going to trade Zito now... is there?
