  1. I have a feeling Halladay is going to throw a CG shutout.
  2. Bitching? He doesn't talk at all... LOL
  3. That umpire is one lazy ass punk. Jones deserved some of those calls. Jackass behind the plate wanted to leave.
  4. LOL, thats fine. "406" sounds and looks better anyway. As for Pedro...well, I just heard that HALLADAY is starting that one on Saturday. Looks like No-Decision or Loss for Pedro no matter what his performance because you know the Sox bats aren't going to show up for him. They never do anyway, but with Halladay, even more so. It would be the s*** if he has to face Kevin Brown or Vazquez the next Friday against the Yanks.
  5. I don't think it'd breeze over nice with Curt. He expects Pedro to be here the next three years. Why the hell would they do that anyway? Because Pedro had a rocky outing (Actually a quality start) and left the game? Supposedly it's a DEAD ISSUE now and Pedro was smiling tonight. Probably because he didn't get fined..lol, but it doesn't really matter. Just SMILE, Pedro. Here's what happened last season after a "rocky outing" -------------------------------------------------- 04/12/03 - 4.1IP, 9 H, 10 ER, 4 BB, 5 K -------------------------------------------------- 04/17/03 - 7.0 IP, 2 H, 0 ER, 3 BB, 3 K 04/22/03 - 7.0 IP, 3 H, 0 ER, 6 BB, 8 K 04/27/03 - 7.0 IP, 6 H, 2 ER, 1 BB, 10 K 05/03/03 - 9.0 IP, 5 H, 1 ER, 0 BB, 12 K --------------------------------------------------- 06/26/03 - 6.2 IP, 7 H, 4 ER, 3 BB, 8 K --------------------------------------------------- 07/02/03 - 7.0 IP, 6 H, 0 ER, 2 BB, 7 K 07/07/03 - 7.0 IP, 5 H, 1 ER, 0 BB, 11 K 07/12/03 - 7.0 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 8 K 07/20/03 - 7.0 IP, 3 H, 0 ER, 0 BB, 8 K ---------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------- 08/30/03 - 4.0 IP, 9 H, 5 ER, 0 BB, 3K ---------------------------------------------------- 09/05/03 - 6.0 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 9 K 09/10/03 - 8.0 IP, 3 H, 0 ER, 2 BB, 9 K 09/16/03 - 9.0 IP, 6 H, 2 ER, 1 BB, 6 K 09/21/03 - 7.0 IP, 4 H, 0 ER, 2 BB, 11 K What do I expect Saturday based off this information from LAST YEAR... Not 1999. Not 2000. Not 2002. But most RECENT season? 7-8 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 12 K I'm dead serious about this one.
  6. I'm sure you've all heard about the Sox movie/documentary. I'm not sure what they have decided to title it, but our good friends over at BDD have a couple ideas: - Timlin in the Eighth, Williamson in the Ninth - Not in Our Lifetime - Pharyngitis Fever Grips Hub - In Grady We Trusted - Cowboy Yuk - Chicken Little: The Sky is Falling - This Isn't The Year - To Little: Too Late - Belly Up! in the Bronx - Guys Gone Wild! LMAO...Which shall it be?
  7. Foulke should be fine now. I think he just needed to be in some real game situations.
  8. The all-knowledgable people on New England Sports Tonight. I mean, look at all the facts they have displayed tonight: - Curt Schilling is 39 years old. - Pedro was purposely throwing at Segui... his friend for about 10 years for "no reason what so ever." - Schilling had a GREAT game. - Pedro had a BAD game. - Pedro doesn't have it anymore. - Pedro freaked out. I don't know what Pedro's personal issues are, but what a load of dung. A Quality start is bad?. Pedro seemed to "have it" after he warmed up. Pedro freaked out? Hmm.. looked like he had back-to-back K's and a flyout with runners on 2nd and 3rd with nobody out, then proceeded to dominate the rest of his outing. You should've seen these dopes going on and on... I can't wait until his next start.
  9. Schilling's performance and Foulke's 1-2-3 inning to get the save should start moving the team towards the goal. I expect DLowe to dominate like he has all Spring.
  10. Ok. Schilling kicked ass, not that I didn't expect him to and Foulke looks fine when it's a real game situation. Pedro's pitching looks fine. I'm concerned about why he's already upset....over nothing.
  11. But why is Pedro already so upset? WHY? FOR WHAT? Does he just sit there and think up stuff.. "They don't appreciate me, f*** them. I'm not talking to anyone. I'm leaving when I want to. They hate me." We already have enough problems... this team is built to win a World Series and he has a chance to be a big part of it, yet he's already sulking after Day 1.
  12. Seriously... THANK GOD for this guy. Amid all the craziness and attitudes going on right now, we know that we'll have Schilling there. Always. 35 starts, 230+ IPs? You bet. Coming in with a 5-1, 1.66 postseason resume? Anytime, baby. I'm honestly not one of those people who goes with the "Sky is Falling" view of things, but man...I'm pretty damn frustrated as you'll soon find out and I don't know if this season could've gotten off to any worse of a start than it has. So, what do we have? - Sox couldn't have played worse or more sloppy in the first game of the year. - Nomar is hurt and angry; ALL bridges burned in contract talks. - Lowe is angry; bridges burned. - Pedro is angry for basically no reason at all; bridges burned. - Nixon is hurt after signing a 3-year deal. - Manny is now day-to-day with a Quad injury. - Francona is as much of a pushover as Grady Little "I wasn't going to bother him on an off day." You gotta be s***ing me, Tito?! Pedro owns you obviously. You need to tell him that he isn't allowed to leave the f***ing BALLPARK before a game is finished? Good god. Tell him to cut his F-ing hair while you're at it. Damon too. The fact that Pedro feels the need to leave the park before a game is finished just to avoid the media tells me they have seriously messed with his head or he just can't handle taking overly critical comments about a performance that actually wasn't that bad. He needs to go somewhere nice and quiet...Boston is the absolute opposite of an ideal place for Pedro to play baseball. Time for a new sig, me thinks.
  13. That is going to upset A LOT of people when he does that.
  14. I think Pedro can still K 200+ this season.
  15. Don't forget about Wood.
  16. By any chance, Did anyone seem to notice how little it mattered what his velocity was once he started hitting his spots? How many baserunners for the Orioles after the 2nd inning again? Right now Pedro is 0-1 with a 3.00 ERA. 1.0 RofS. 1 Quality Start. Considering how bad he was this spring, and the conditions of which the game was played, he did just fine.
  17. What's wrong with a quality start? They gave him 1 run and left how many men on-base? I thought it was actually a pretty good start considering how terrible Pedro had been in ST and how wild he was to start the game. I also thought he could've pitched the 7th without a problem.
  18. He was wild in the first 2 innings. He was really getting on a roll until he was taken out. It's a moot point anyway... I knew this was coming, Francona said his job was to make sure Pedro and Schilling were healthy and fresh in October and he didn't care if they thought differently about his decisions. Sounds good and UnGrady-like. DON'T CALL ME GRADY, THOUGH.
  19. I didn't see what was wrong with the way Martinez was performing. It wasn't as if he had given up 3 or 4 consecutive hits. He can pitch the 7th inning for christ sake. He has durability issues...he needs to build his body up...he was doing just fine....
  20. What the heck... leave Pedro IN! That sounds strange.. but c'mon, he was doing fine.
  21. I don't want to speak too soon but it looks like Pedro has settled down now. Man, I was getting concerned when he threw those three straight pitches WAY INSIDE...Sox are getting men on now, just a matter of driving them in. New Goal for Pedro: QUALITY START (6 IP, 3 ER)
  22. Ok.. this is gonna get ugly...he's not being able to put them away... fastballs all over the place, hanging pitches over the plate.. yikes
  23. Me too..lol LET'S GO BABY...ALMOST TIME!
