  1. So, we havent had a topic on it yet, although it has been mentioned. Our current ace is in pain. The good news is that he won't need surgery (as of now at least) until the end of the year. The bad news is that he may be sidelined 2-4 weeks. Here's an article from the Herald: http://redsox.bostonherald.com/redSox/view...articleid=31710 Some snippets from the article: Let's hope he turns out O.K.
  2. Let's hope he keeps it up. I'm sure most of RSN is torn between hating him and hoping he is back to his old form. It sure would be a shame if he tanked his next outing, wouldnt it be?
  3. . But welcome to the site though!
  4. Just to give you guys an idea on some upcoming contests that we are considering, in addition to the gift certificate one going on now: -Some form of contest for the best post in a given time period, judged on humor, time spent, quality, insight, etc.... With possible prizes being Red Sox tickets -Maybe a site wide "scavenger hunt" where members must work as a team to follow clues that would lead to a contest being run -Baseball related games/predictions -More random contests. I just wanted to update you guys, since I know contests always get positive responses.
  5. Errr.... whats going on! Stop the madness!
  6. Nevermind that. Sox up 2-1, Weaver's struggling.
  7. So, the game already started, we're down 1-0. These damn weekend games never get enough attention on talksox.
  8. Indeed. Williamson was warming up in the bullpen for an inning last night. That was a sight for sore eyes. And the yankees look like the are running into trouble here. There two best pitchers (arguably) are injured. We need to capitalize now.
  9. Hockey can fold, I wouldn't care really.
  10. From ESPN insider: They make no mention of the sox. They saw Mets, Yankees, Padres now.
  11. I was upper upper bleacher, so I dont know about down near the field, but the flag was going crazy, thats for sure.
  12. Yea, do you have a link to these articles so we can all bitch together?
  13. That was the biggest let down in the history of my sports viewing career. There I was, last row in the bleechers, right there in front of the dunkin lattes sign, and manny drops the damn ball....
  14. Good game so far, Can't complain when you're up by 6!
  15. Calvnhobs and I call him something along the lines of "lip-man". He was crazy with those damn lips of his.
  16. Hehe, oops. Yea, I forgot about that.
  17. 90 degree weather is wrong?
  18. Well, aside from 1916 I dont know, sorry. And I'm going to the game on Friday, should be exciting.
  19. In 1916 the sox beat the Brooklyn dodgers in the world series, which entailed games at Fenway. I'm not sure about since then though. But yes, they have played here then. Oh, and welcome to the site.
  20. Damn, come on sox.
  21. Alright! Nomar coming back with a splash!
  22. Nomar's return! I just heard it on the news. This should be an exciting game.
  23. Yea, hopefully Lowe and Tek realize this before its too late. He's the epitome of everything that is wrong with sports finance, and he's starting to pay for it. I hope he gets fired by all of his players, and then gets hit by a bus.
  24. Let's all jump back on the bandwagon!
