  1. This looks like it may be a long night for Jason Jennings.
  2. Oh, you're in GA? I didn't know that. You can just lookout for new articles and such and keep us updated. That's how I plan to keep Alvarez updated at least.
  3. http://soxprospects.com/players/images/abrahamalvarez.jpg Age: 21 Born: October 17, 1982 Resides: Fontana, CA Height: 6-3 Weight: 185 Bats: Left Throws: Left Drafted: 2nd Round, 2003 How Acquired: Draft College: Long Beach State High School: Fontana High School ETA: late 2005 Scouting report (from http://www.soxprospects.com): He is considered, as of right now, to be the frontrunner as a replacement on the big league club in case Schilling goes down with that ankle injury.
  4. Yup, I'd be in for this too. Let's make this the "claim a prospect" thread. I'll take Abe Alvarez.
  5. Well, he walked.
  6. Welcome to the site RedSoxChick.
  7. And the Reds are only two back in the Central. Just goes to show how one statistic can overshadow and entire team. (ie: Has anyone ever heard of the San Francisco Giants?)
  8. And Bronson needs to get his act together. I heard Theo was in Colorado for the game. Does anyone know why?
  9. Renaming thread now.
  10. Maybe only a few, but those people would be wrong, since we're 4.5 back.
  11. Hey, welcome to the site Rick. Enjoy your stay here. I bet you're excited for Trot's debut tonight.
  12. I wonder if anyone could find his career statistics.
  13. From the Globe: Sounds like some BS to me.
  14. Oh yea! I forgot that http://i.cnn.net/si/2003/baseball/mlb/specials/postseason/2003/10/04/athletics.redsox.game3.ap/p1_nixon_ap.jpg was playing! This is a big game.
  15. Hopefully we can get a win, and hopefully schilling doesnt aggravate his injury.
  16. Tito has made some questionable calls regarding the bullpen, and I'm not a huge fan of his usage of Foulke in so many non-save situations. However, he has done a decent job, and I cant really think of too many games that we've really lost because of a decision of his. (one or two come to mind, but thats it). As for Embree, for some reason he is struggling at home with a 5.56 ERA, but he is fine on the road with a 3.29 ERA. This is a little bit strange, but it shows that something isn't horribly wrong with his delivery at least. He should snap back into it, and if he doesnt, no worries. Williamson is back with a vengeance.
  17. Hey, don't worry guys, there'll be plenty more contests in the future.
  18. We had 12 LOB. The Rockies had 3. How the hell can we manage something so pathetic? Let's just hope schilling can get us out of this today, and avoid injuring himself.
  19. 100-87, Lakers got destroyed. Phew, now basketball is over and we can concentrate on baseball.
  20. Williamson looks impressive at least. I feel like I havent seen a lot of him, but I certainly like what I'm seeing.
  21. Sox "O" showed up tonight I guess. Manny just ripped a double. I guess we won't be missing Pokey too much tonight after all.
  22. This is what we're missing out on G AB R H 2B 3B HR RBI BB K SB CS AVG OBP SLG OPS 17 61 13 21 8 0 2 6 6 11 2 2 .344 .400 .574 .974 Pokey owns that stadium. .974 OPS!
  23. Bahaha Fens, your sig. Feel like rubbing it in for the others?
  24. Youkilis = Boggs. Awesome. Thanks for initiating this forum Zenny!
  25. Screw pitching, I just want to see him bat.
