  1. We need maybe one or two more to make it a legit league. Any takers?
  2. Ahaha, I dont know why, but this made me el oh el
  3. That's hard to do
  4. Not to mention Nomar. He definitely got his timing back.
  5. I'd say Embree, since he's been struggling lately, and this game seems to be the game of turn-arounds, so why not?
  6. What the hell! This isnt supposed to happen! Schill gets shelled, and Lowe pitches amazingly!
  7. The, um, deadline for signups is tomorrow, so unless the league gets filled I don't think it'll work out. Next year I guess.
  8. Sorry man, the contest ended a coupla days ago. We'll have some more soon though, I promise.
  9. The sox are.... dare I say....winning 2-0. Will it last?
  10. I dont know. I bet Lowe will pitch better than Schilling did yesterday. He's a sinkerballer, so he's got that working for him. He also has two very good starts under his belt (in a row, mind you). If he can get us a win, I bet a lot of the "WE'RE DOOMED!" attitude will go away. But if he implodes.... then all hell will break loose.
  11. For all his upsides, turning down that 60 million dollar contract was a dumb move. He pissed off the fans, and now he'll most likely have to take less. He's still my favorite player, but I can understand why some people are mad at him. But I do hope that things turn better. I want him to stay like none other. I hope he starts hitting, and starts accepting our contract offers.
  12. Isn't he having some command issues with that knuckle ball of his? In any case, I'm very excited to see him play.
  13. Wasnt it only a few weeks ago that they hadn't won more than one game in a row? Damn, they're improving. or should I say ?
  14. I'm definitely in on this later on today, I dont have time to make a really detailed post right now. But expect one in the near future.
  15. I'll update you on his most recent game I guess: Sarasota IP H R ERBBSOHR ERA Manuel Delcarmen (L 0-3) 2.0 4 6 5 2 5 1 6.88 He didnt look to impressive.
  16. LOB, RISP, LOB, RISP. That's the problem. What did we have, 24 LOB over the course of two games? More? That's ridiculous. I dont know what you can attribute it to. It could be contracts, but I doubt it. And I dont know how you would solve this little problem of ours. A mojar shakeup may just rattle things up a bit more. A major change could just throw everyone off. I think we just need to sit and wait. Maybe Dave Wallace can sit down with every player and go over tape, like he did with Pedro. Oh, and by the way, welcome to the site elsrbueno.
  17. Dammit Nomar. This game is painful.
  18. LOB LOB LOB LOB LOB LOB LOB
  19. I cant tell if his ankle is bothering him or not in this game tonight. We'll have to hear the post game report I guess.
  20. If the biggest complaint about him is his hat, I say we have a winner.
  21. Damn, he came back with a splash eh. No offense, no shmoffense.
  22. Hat aside, here are his stats: GO TROT GO TROT GO TROT (he just hit a homerun) Pitchers W-L ERA G GS CG GF SH SV IP H R ER HR BB SO WP A.Alvarez 6-5 3.84 13 13 0 0 0 0 70.1 72 38 30 9 19 52 1
  23. Well, this was something to be expected. He has a 5.35 career ERA at Coors. (But don't we all). That and Busch stadium are the places where he has traditionally been owned. (well, he had a 22 ERA in .1 innings at cleveland stadium, but we'll let that slide).
  24. There's some poor home-plate umpiring going on in this game.
  25. Yay, Trot's first action of the season! Nice catch.
