    Didn't we have 2 18 inning games in one season, either last year or two years ago? I remember Shea Hillenbrand winning one, and then I think we lost one at Texas or something?

    I'm no golf fanatic, but I have been getting into it recently. It's definitely more fun to play than it is to watch. For some reason I've ben puling for Goosen a lot recently (maybe because he has a cool name?), so I guess I'll be rooting for him.

    It's nice to see the sox have a halfway decent minor league system. I guess having a prospect-smart GM can really help your team out in the long run.

    The same type of thing happened to Chipper Jones today. I forget who lsid into him, but he tore his pants up. The player apologized profusely to Chipper right after the play, but he definitely didnt look happy about it.

    It may be because he plays in CO, but to me, Helton seems like a second-tier star. We'd definitely have to get more for Manny. But what am I talking about! Trading Manny Ramirez!? This is Manny we're talking about guys, he's been the driving offensive force behind this team for a long time now. It seems like every year he goes through either an incredible slump, or some formof unhappiness that blows over in 2-3 weeks. I wouldn't be surprised if we heard nothing more of this.

They can't POSSIBLY be dumb enough to believe that there was some sort of sox-wide conspiracy in which Schiling faked injury in order to come across as a touhg guy. That's almost as ludicrous as A-Rod thinking the slap was a "good play!" Oh, wait...

    And their fans are dicks! One needst only to look at the numerous "I wish Schilling was the one to get hit" threads to see that many are, indeed, douche bags. And, although they are hygenic products, that was not intended to be a compliment.

    Is it extremely depressing to take in a game there? It seems like a wasteland. Do they have to hold up the game sometimes to clear tumbleweeds off of the field?

    Haha, a hostile takeover of the New York Yankees by pissed of Red Sox fans. Sounds interesting.

    Hoo boy, were they ever. They thought he made the "suck it' gesture. Tejada was FUMING ater the game, saying that his kids were in the stands and that Lowe was a bad influence. This after Tejada had been seen by the cameras multiple times during the game swearing at the top of his lungs.

    Exactly. Or maybe it's because in a town like Boston or New York, the fans will get all over you for being "weak willed" or feeble if you don't show disproval at bad calls. They're covering their asses!

    Class indeed. Christ, some yankee fans are scum. I can guaratnee that NO ONE here who is a respected poster would say anything like this. We may hate A-Rod, but no one wants to see him get sent to the f***ing hospital.
