Looks like it could really be Peterson. He was one of the guys on my list, so I would like this move a lot.

Out of all the options, Peterson was the one that intrigued me the most. I will say that I am not sure how successful he will be, but I think he will be worth a gamble. I heard from a couple of different people that Farrell was the one that really wanted Peterson like the article indicates. I am not sure how true that is, but I am hoping that this is not a move by the FO and that Farrell really did want Peterson as the pitching coach (assuming he gets hired, which seems to be the general consensus on twitter).

So far I'm liking the new coaching staff, for a couple of reasons. First, because everyone that's on board seems incredibly professional and competent. Second, because the front office (including Ben) got their #1 guy in Farrell, and then Farrell got his #1 guy in Peterson. That's how it's supposed to work. It's a reminder just how disjointed last year's staff was.

Exactly! Not to mention Farrell brought in Butterfield and Lovullo with him as well from Toronto. Lovullo has the potential to be a manager and Butterfield has a lot of experience and was a well respected coach for the Jays for many years. Peterson only adds to the impressive coaching list. Anyone hear of any potential hitting coach candidates?
