Everyone wants to see players held accountable..... maybe this is the only way Bobby can get to these pitchers... let them get good and comfortable in the beds they make.

While McClure cannot at least in my view be responsible for their demise, it does not appear that he has done anything to help the pitchers and I do think it significant that Lester himself has even said that he feared Farrell. Maybe feared him enough to actually prepare for his starts. That is certainly a view from afar though so who knows.

Valentine is a boob he really is i understand time off but ellsbury and crawford just got

Back no reason to sit these guys.

it makes no f***ing sense, if they are here then they are healthy enough to play everyday. Especially when they've had months off.

Clearly why we are loosing today.

Still pretty early in this game and it is being played the way the Sox at least like to play.....sloppy, slugfest baseball. They could still win this game but these wins don't seem to do anything positive anyway. Its not like they win the game, rip up a bunch of jerseys and then come out the next day playing good baseball.

Agreed especially when we are in a pennant race!.

I was not stating Ells or Crawford were the trouble. I was pointing out that giving a player the day off after consulting with him and trained medical professions does not make V a boob and ha nothing to do with us loosing today.

A day off from what? They both spent months rehabbing from injury and are now fine to play. they didn't need a rest day. Crawford if his elbow is sore, but Ellsbury is 100%

If you are going to swing at these pitches in games like this please for God's sake just take the ball back the way the pitcher has thrown it when there is nobody on base. They can't hit a six run homer.

We need a rally. These chump pitchers kill us because we refuse to take what they are giving us. Just stroke the ball and dump it into the outfield someplace. Get some guys on base for one of the big boppers and then hit one out.

Take a ball that is up in the zone and just dump it into the outfield back the say way it came in. Heck the Jays are tossing enough accommodating pitches up there. I know it looks like something you should put over the fence but that takes me make to the top of this post....no such thing as a six run homer especially with nobody on.

Put the guy in the bullpen, and let him iron his problems out.

Are they really this dumb? Who is keeping him in the rotation? Is it Valentine? Is it Cherington?

Who the hell knows on this team. Do they really think Garza isn't an improvement right now?

That shows there is a reality problem.

That was not BV decision. It came from the medical staff according to reports.

I never said you did i was just merely making a statement that i

thought valentine was since these guys were considered so

called healthy sitting on a bench when we are hurting for a

couple wins. Guys need time off but not when they have been

declared ready to go.

Well I have no desire to argue with you. You do not know why he has the day off, nor do I. You assume it is for no reason. I assume there is a reason for it. I also think it is not hurting us today. Maybe you think Crawford would have provided 7 runs at this point and we would be winning.

This season really is over... I mean, I think it's okay to admit that the Sox are finished for 2012.

Lester has no physical issues but his BABIP is killing us.

Whatever, I'm still going to watch or listen to every game and hope for the best.

It's not about whether Garza is an improvement. Even with Garza do you see the Sox going to the playoffs? and if so getting past the ALDS? It's still a big no for me. And with the extra wildcard and all the contenders we will have to overpay. Right now the best thing we can do is sell a little, run out the year and wait for 2013, when the payroll drops and hopefully the roster is much healthier. I wouldn't mind trading for a starter during the offseason, but I'm not big on giving Hamels a big contract.

This team is leading the majors in runs scored on in the first inning.

I want to know why the Boston media isn't asking any questions. They probably contributed to the problem with their beer-chicken crap, so why aren't they asking questions?

Henry should realize by now he hasn't changed the culture that caused the September collapse last year.

Something is wrong with his organization, and he hasn't identified it.
